You might have heard a lot about Sarkodie and Charterhouse’s brouhaha over the latter using the former’s name for publicizing this year’s Ghana Music Awards. Sarkodie who was not happy about the promotion took to twitter to express his anger.

Charterhouse later came out to admit that they were at fault and apologized for their actions. Sarkodie during his twitter rant stated that he charged the organisers of the awards but they failed to meet his demand that is why he will not be performing at the event. He did not mention the amount he charged them but Akwasi Aboagye of Peace FM has quoted a figure he claims ‘Obidi’ requested and how much Charterhouse was ready to pay.
Akwasi Aboakye queried George Quaye several times on the figures he has heard concerning their dealing with Sarkodie but the PRO for Charterhouse swerved all the questions.
According to Akwasi Aboagye, Sarkodie demanded Gh100, 000 but Charterhouse was ready to pay Gh40, 000. They later added Gh50, 000 to the Gh40, 000 to make the ‘Adoani’ hitmaker perform at this year’s Ghana Music Awards. After making their plans to pay the BET award-winner Gh90, 000, he later increased his charge from Gh100, 000 to Gh120,000.
Well, we at Zionfelix.com cannot confirm or deny these figures because Goerge Quaye who is the PRO for the organisation is not ready to talk about them.
Speaking on Peace FM’s entertainment review Thursday afternoon, George Quaye said all the artistes billed for the show will perform for ten minutes. That means if the figures Akwasi Aboagye of Peace FM quoted were right, that means Sarkodie charged Gh100, 000 for 10 minutes performance.
