Kyle’s mother nonchalantly walked into the family room, everyone following her.
I was forced to sit next to Kyle on the love-seat, not that I had a problem, since all the other seats were ‘taken’ and my mum was giving me glares.
“What did you want to talk to us about?” I cupped my face with my own hands, curious to know what they wanted this time.
Mrs. Johnson spoke up.
“Well, it’s not bad news.”
I looked at her with an emotionless expression on my face.
“Okay, so I think it isn’t bad news.”
There it is!
It’s going to be a bad news.
“Don’t worry dear, why don’t I do the talking this time, huh?” Kyle’s dad, interrupted her.
I held in the urge to smirk, and looking over at kyle, he was doing the same.
“We will just get straight to the point this time.” He began, as I took my water bottle from the mid-table.
. “Basically, after the wedding happens and all…” He trailed off.
“We will all be expecting from you.”
It wasn’t another second until Kyle’s dad was soaking in drips of water that went flying from my mouth.
I started to cough uncontrollably, choking on the water I spit out, and kyle rubbing my back, trying to calm me down.
Once I was done, I stood up from my seat in terror.
“Your joking, right?!” I yelled, although knowing the answer to that.
“No, don’t answer that! Oh, and I’m so sorry Mr. Johnson.”
“Johnson it’s… Johnson” He stiffly nodded as his wife gave him paper towels from the kitchen, to clean himself up.
“Wait,” kyle poked in.
“So, let me get this straight. You all are saying that after the wedding, you want me and kiara, to… hanky panky, and bring ‘baby’ into this world. Right?”
I snickered when he said ‘hanky panky’.
I mean, come on!
Who says hanky panky instead of séx nowadays?
“My mom doesn’t like me saying séx okay?” He whispered through gritted teeth, so only I can hear.
My dad nodded towards kyle and I,
“Yeah. But, listen, it wasn’t mine or Johnson’s idea. It was your mothers’.”
Ugh, what more does mum want from me?!
I felt myself getting light-headed after awhile.
Then slowly, my body started going numb.
I could see kyle yelling things to his parents, but that all drifted away when my vision began to fade.
Soon, I couldn’t hear much anymore.
Only mumbles coming from everyone else.
I tried saying something, that I wasn’t feeling okay.
But, nothing left my lips.
If anything did, then small sobs and unfinished words.
And finally, I felt myself black out.
My eyes falling into complete depths of darkness.
The last thing I saw, was the bouquet of roses that was on the table falling to the floor.
And so had I.
