KIARA

I scoffed at the TV screen in front of me, mumbling dirty words.

“Stupid Patrick! That fat butt thinks he can eat Spongebob’s chocolate too! What a jerk.” I muttered, unaware that someone was watching my childish behavior towards Spongebob Squarepants.

That is, until I heard laughing.

“What the hell are you doing?” Kyle’s voice spoke up, emphasizing each word confusingly.

I shrugged,

“Watching spongebob, duh!” I replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Kyle rolled his eyes, plopping himself next to me on the couch.

“Yeah I get that. But, your twenty and you watch Spongebob? Might I add the fact that your accusing a sea-star that doesn’t even exist?”

Way to make me feel dumb!

“What are you saying, heh? ‘I can’t watch Spongebob’ my foot!” I argued.

So, what if I liked watching kid shows?

It’s not like it was met for only kids.

Besides, I’m still momma’s child.

“Nevermind, help yourself.” Kyle chuckled.

“I’m just saying that it’s a bit child…”

“Shut up before you take my shoe across your face!” I cut him off, shooting him a death glare.

It’s not my fault I get really violent when someone insults me for acting like a kid.

What is up with these people anyway?

Personally, I think being adultish is stupid and boring.

I don’t want to spend the rest of my life being to stuck-up and proper.

I glanced at kyle.

“What now?”

He shrugged,

“They probably want to discuss something about the marriage.”

I nodded, pulling down my top a bit.

Kyle was right when he said our parents were coming any minute, because the next thing I heard was the musical noise of our doorbell.

I got up, walking over to the front door, and pulling it open.

Two eager-looking couples were standing there, flowers in hand for me.

Smiling, I took the daisies from the Johnson’s and roses from my own parents, letting them inside.

“Oh hello my lovely daughter-in-law!” Mrs. Johnson squealed, enveloping me into a warm bear hug.

I was greeted the same way by Mr. Johnson and my own parents.

“Now, where is our boy?” Mrs. Johnson questioned, looking around the house.

“Mom, will you calm down? Your acting like you are meeting me for the first time!” Kyle groaned, appearing from the staircase.

“Hi Mr. and Mrs. Arthur.”

“I thought I told you to call us by our names.” My mother pointed out.

“Well, hello though!” She wrapped her arms around kyle and my dad gave him those man-hugs.

My dad may be a dad, but he is still a teen at heart.
