-Two Weeks Later-
I guess the saying is true that time waits for no man. Two weeks went by quickly and speedily. After that day, Damon and I got even closer. He took me out on dates and we got to know each other even better. I ignored all the stupid comments about how I seduced my boss although they were very irritating.
Everyone tried to make me feel bad about liking my boss. I haven’t said the words but Damon always makes me remember how much he loves me. I still find it difficult to say them back because truth be told, I’m not sure if I would go that far. I care a lot about him but love…I’m just not certain.
The party came as a shock and I knew there was something shady about it. After much persuasion, he finally revealed it was just to get me to stay away from Van although it was absolutely unnecessary. He had nothing to worry about on that end.
I felt a little flattered that he planned a party for no reason just to keep me all to himself. I barely participated in the planning but oversaw everything and today, we were ready to reveal it all.
Damon and I were to leave together so I brought my dress to the office and left to change a few minutes ago. I tried my best to put a considerable amount of makeup on and felt sincerely satisfied with my reflection. The heels were a little uncomfortable but I just had to deal with it.
I twisted the knob and stepped out mistakenly bumping into Damon.

“Sorry.”
We said simultaneously and I brushed my hair.
“Wow! You look stunning.”
He complimented and I blushed.
“Thank you.”
“I need to talk to you in my office.”
“But we’re late.”
I whined.
“It’s important.”
He retorted grabbing my hand before I could protest.
“Damon you’re the CEO what could possibly be more important.”
“Shut up.”
He commanded and kissed me. We’ve done this plenty of times like we were literally attracted to each other but each time a different spark erupts and it’s just better than the last.
“Damon…”
I half moaned and whined in both pleasure and impatience.
“You’re just so beautiful.”
He says resting his hands on my waist.
“Tell me you didn’t make me come into your office just to make out…”
“We didn’t.”
“Are you saying that because I told you to or….”
“We didn’t.”
He reassured as we held hands.
“Well, why did you call me here?”
I asked curiously.
“I’ll show you.”
He broke our linked fingers and moved towards his desk getting a piece of paper and handing it over.
“What’s this?”
I asked as he leaned on his desk grinning.
“Read it.”
I gulped but read it’s contents aloud with my eyes wide.
“You can’t be serious. You’re firing me!”
I exclaimed.
“Yes.”
He said like it was nothing.
“You’re fired Miss Salvatore.”
The paper slipped from my grip and my voice became shaky.
“But…you… We….why…I….”
I said with a cracked tone but he looked nonchalant and simply carefree.
“Is it so hard to believe that I fired you?”
“Yes.”
I said trying to hold back my tears.
“Well aren’t you going to ask why?”
He said with a slight shrug.
“Why?”
I asked breathlessly.
“Because it would be really inappropriate to have my personal assistant as my girlfriend.”
“What!”
I yelled unable to believe my ears.
