Kimberly’s pov

‘Why do I feel…..that my son will keep you forever’ Those words rang in my ears so many times, I swallowed and touched her cheek.

“I hope everything goes well.” I finally said.

“Every thing will.”

My phone began ringing and I checked the caller.

“Jayden?” I arched my brow.

I pressed the answer button and moved the phone to my ear.

“Yes, jayden?”

“Kim! I’m coming home tomorrow. Don’t let my mom know about this. I’m going to surprise her” He said, my mouth hung opened.

“Are you okay?” His mother chipped in, worriedly.

“Nothing” I whispered.

“Okay, Jayden. I’ve heard you.” I chuckled, glimpsing at his mother who has been arching her brow.

“Okay then. See you.” He laughed a little before hanging up.

Wait! He laughed? I wish I could see his laughing face.

“Did he say anything?” Curious Jayden’s mother asked.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s a surprise.” I grinned.

“I wish he would come tomorrow. In fact, today. I’m missing him already.”

“Same here” I blurted out. I gasped and covered my mouth when I realized what I had said seconds ago.

F*k!

Miss who? Him? I don’t wanna miss him.

“That’s so good of you! Miss him as much as you want.”

Soon, Jayden’s mother slept off and I got up from her bed and got to my room.

Next day,

I yawned and threw the duvet covering my body aside and stepped down from the bed. Wearing my flip flops, I walked to the bathroom and took my bath.

After wearing my clothes, I went downstairs and greeted Jayden’s mother and Sarah in the kitchen.

“What’s for breakfast?” I asked Sarah.

“Bacons, eggs, toasted bread and coffee.” Sarah smiled, shaking her head left and right.

I nodded and joined her to cook breakfast.
Just as we were about to eat, a knock came from the door.

“I’ll answer that.” I quickly went to the door and opened the door.

I smiled seeing Jayden.

“Hey!” He spoke and walked inside.

“Jayden!! I can’t believe you’re back again.”
“Wait! You were coming and you didn’t tell me?” She gasped. “You told Kimberly to keep your coming home a secret? Ah ah!” Jayden’s mother frowned a bit before replacing it with a smile.

I walked away from the door to go sit down when I hit my leg on the small table and was about to fall when someone grabbed me by my waist.

Jayden.
