Kiara
Kyle stayed silent, struck by how hard my words hit him.
I get it.
They were harsh, but they were also the truth.
“Pretty much.” He finally spoke.
I didn’t say anything after that.
I only focused on the food that was on my plate, and picked on them.
A few minutes of silence passed by like that.
No one said a thing, and all you could hear was the quiet breeze of the wind, the trees rustling in the wind, and the waves of the ocean crashing on shore.
“I have changed though, Kiara.” A whisper came from kyle’s lips.
I looked up only to find him staring into my eyes again.
I nodded.
“But how do I know for sure?” I asked.
I know he is trying me to get his trust.
But how do I know this isn’t one of his games, or that he would leave me like the others in the end?
Kyle sighed.
“I really don’t know. But… I will prove to you. I promise.”
I smiled at him, receiving a smile back.
After that, we changed the topic.
We started talking about every other thing in the world.
That is, until he asked me for a walk with him.
I have always wanted a long walk on the beach with a guy.
I thought it was romantic and sweet and cute.
“Will you tell me about yourself?”He suddenly asked me as we were walking.
I shrugged.
“There is not much to know. What do you want to know?” I pulled a strand of hairbehind my ear.
Kyle kicked a rock and shrugged.
“Everything.”
Everything.
“Well okay.” I giggled.
“My full names are Kiara Evelyn Arthur which is really cliche to me.”
“I think it’s a beautiful name.” Kyle protested.
“Thank you. Umm, my birthday is June 18th. I’m a Gemini. So now I’m twenty, going on twenty one. I was born in London, but I moved to Georgia when I was seven.”
“That explains your accent, I never knew that.” He laughed.
I smiled.
“Not a lot of people do.What else do you want to know about me?”
I was running out of thoughts about myself, mostly cause I don’t know much about myself.
Kyle ran his fingers through his hair before taking a look at me.
He smiled.
“I thought I told you. I want to know… everything.”
“Everything? I’m afraid you will collapse bored before I even start.”
“I will take that as a bet then. And yes. Everything.”
“But I….”
Kyle cut me off again.
“How did Michael handle you all these years? You talk so much!” He laughed and I chuckled.
“How about this. You tell me everything about you, and if I do run away in the middle of it all, I take you on a ‘Kiara Day’ all tomorrow. Besides, we are not going to school.”
“And what if you don’t run away?”
I didn’t know why, but I was curious on what my penalty would be, considering this is kyle we are talking about here.
Kyle smirked.
“Then you have to kiss me right after. And it will be just ‘Kyle-Day’ all throughout tomorrow.”
I groaned this time. Of course he would think of that!
I wanted to smack his head right now, but that will ruin everything even more.
“So… is that a deal?”
I huffed, then bit my lip.
“Deal.”
