Eli stretched in bed, she knew it was time to wake up and go fetch water from the stream but she was feeling lazy, it was the chore she hated most but she didn’t have a choice, she had to do it.
She turned and nearly fell off the bed causing her to jump up, she remembered, she was back home, she had just been dreaming, she had actually been home for a week now.
She forced a smile, somehow she regretted coming back to the city because all she had come to meet was pain, betrayal and disappointment, her boyfriend was sleeping with her best friend and her best friend was pregnant for her other boyfriend, the thought of it shamed her.
She had things to do and she wasn’t going to joke with it. She walked out of her room to Judith’s room, she wasn’t there so she came back to the kitchen where she found her mom, she was preparing breakfast for Judith who was sitting at the dining table.
Eli walked to her and hugged her, she missed her everyday, she woke up everyday feeling like she was seeing the beautiful angel for the first time.

She stepped out and on impulse, she looked at the blue window, Kwesi was walking around the room, he turned and looked into the house and caught her staring but she looked away.
She hadn’t spoken to him since she threw him out of his house, he had done all he could do to get her attention but she had completely ignored him and she wasn’t ready to talk to him.
An hour later, Eli was ready to step out, she had called Fred to meet up with her at a small pub in the hood so she headed towards that place. When she arrived Fred could hardly look at her, he was guilty and his guilt was eating him up though he didn’t know if she knew what he had done.
“Have a seat dear, it’s been such a long time” He said in a shaky voice.
“Indeed it’s been, hope you are doing good” she asked him, sensing his nervousness and playing along its lines.
He nodded and raised his head to look at her. “Where have you been, I’ve been thinking about you, I miss you terribly”.
Eli looked at him for a while and chuckled, “You miss me don’t you, I guess you missed me that bad that you couldn’t keep your tail between your legs, you had to get the person closest to me, well it helped because I wanted to tell you it was over”.
Fred looked at her, suddenly he looked like a little boy who had lost something he really cherished.
“No Eli, please don’t say that, what did Rasheeda tell you, please, whatever she said there must be some explanation, you left, you didn’t say a word to me, and I was your boyfriend, how could you do that to me?”
Eli chuckled. “I didn’t tell you, but you were the one who told Rasheeda and Kwesi that I had traveled right, so how didn’t I tell you?” Eli rose.
“you are leaving me because of Kwesi aren’t you, don’t you know he’s with Rasheeda now?” he asked her. She turned to look at him for a few seconds.
“you are all the same, don’t attempt to reach me, don’t call me, don’t talk to me, I don’t ever want to see you again, stay away from me”. She walked away as Fred kept calling her.
She stopped a taxi and sat in, when she got to her gate, she alighted and looked up at Kwesi’s window, her mouth dropped when she saw Kwesi standing with Jack, how in God’s name had he reached Jack, what was she going to do now, how was she going to solve this problem?
Kwesi has gotten in touch with Jack, is he going to tell him the truth, that he is not Judith’s father? Let’s see what happens in Episode 2……..
