Jayden’s pov

“No, I guess I’m attracted to you Kimberly.” I concluded.

“You’re what?” Her eyes dilated in shock.

“Hey! Don’t be surprised. It’s just a normal attraction, okay? Normal attraction.” I cooed.

“Yeah. I was starting to think of something else. Anyways, I wanna have fun right now.” She pouted.

Kimberly’s pov

When he told me he has attraction for me, my heart couldn’t help but skipped. Thank God it was a normal attraction.

But what kind of a normal attraction?

Shortly, the car came to a halt and we got down from it. The place was breezy and I love it. I could see the sad face of Jayden as he looked around.

The place can be called a garden. Few people were there too.

“You look so moody.”

“Yeah. I remembered something.” He cooed a reply.

“Can you tell me or I should mind my business?” I asked.

“Here is where I and Jessica do come whenever we want to have fun. But she’s dead now. Mom already told you that.” He replied.

“She told me. I’m sorry about your father and Jessica.” Thats just not easy to lose someone. Two love ones at the same time.

I only lost my mother and the pain is still there. What if I lost my father? I would have died. But here’s Jayden, trying to be strong for others like his mom.

“You don’t have to be sorry. Or are you the one who got them killed?” His reply was damn sharp.

“No, I ain’t the one. Let’s just find somewhere quieter than this place. I might sleep.” I pouted my lips and dragged his arm for him to follow me.

We got to a quiet place and sat down. “Have you dated before?” He threw the question.

“Yes. But Martin was a jerk. I caught him with so many girls on his bed. Well, he’s my first and last boyfriend. I don’t have time to date boys now.” I said.

“Is he still alive?” He asked and I gave him a glare.

“What? Don’t tell me you want to ki*ll someone?”

“Nope. I was just thinking, all untrustworthy boys should die.” With a shrug, he said.

“You’re going to ki*ll him?” I scoffed.

“Nope. Or should I ?”

“Don’t ki*ll him. Even I had the chance to kill him but I didn’t.” My chest was raising up and down heavily.

“I think I like you.” He blurted.

Jayden’s pov

Without hesitating, I brought out my gun and shot the person in the head. Kimberly screamed. She shouldn’t scream.

Her eyes darted to the man in his pool of blood.

“I don’t know why you’re shouting. Not like you’ve never seen this before.” I huffed.

“I haven’t!” She yelled.

“Huh? Aren’t you the mafia’s daughter? You should have seen this before.”

“Arrgh! I only know how to sh00t a gun and not ki*ll. My father doesn’t ki*ll in front of me.” She placed her hands on her chest, breathing hard. “That just scared me.” She added.

“You really surprised me. Such a scared kitten you’re.” I chuckled, held her hand and led her into the car. “No shopping again. That bloody fool canceled it.” I growled.

I glanced at his dead body and watch closely at his arm. He has an axe tattoo. I looked away and started the car.

“You’re really skilled.” Kimberly began. “You look more than a hitman”

“I look more than a hitman? How?” I asked.

“You don’t have to know. Should we just go somewhere? Instead of going home straight.” She said and I nodded.

“Do you miss your father?” I blurted and she answered with a nod.

“Yeah, so much. But I guess I’m kidnapped and won’t be able to see him any longer.” She responded with her head down.

“What if I say you’re still going to see your father. Before you die.” I stated.

“I’d appreciate that.”

“You won’t be able to talk to him. See him with your two eyes and we leave.” I replied.

“Yeah. It’s okay. But I would like to write a letter to him. A goodbye letter.” Kim responded.

“Well, I think I have to. Cause you told me am likely to die after or even within the two months” Her words were coming out in a rush.

“You aren’t sure if I’m going to ki*ll you or not. I might not hurt you. You’re too pretty to be killed.” I answered.

“Are you teasing me? You’re just joking?” She scoffed.

“You told her about us?” I arched my brow.

Why would she tell her about us?

“You don’t want me to tell her?” My mother questioned.

“Does she deserve to know? Well, since you told her already. It’s fine. Just that I don’t want anyone meddling into our lives.” I rolled my eyes.

“What of Evans? Is he not a meddler?”

“I know Evans right from childhood. And I trusted him well.” I answered.

‘But you kissed the girl.’ My subconscious mocked.

“Then, you should start trusting her.” Mom simply said.

“Mom! Let’s not talk about this, okay?” I groaned.

“You’re just too stubborn.” Mom retorted and faced the channel she was watching.

My phone rang and I excused myself.

“Evans”

“Guy-guy, I’m in Russia now. Should I come straight to your apartment?” He asked.

“I’m not in Russia. I’m in italy. But do stay in a hotel till I come back there.” I said.

“Okay, buddy.”

I climbed the stairs up to my room and found kimberly on my bed, already awake.

“Good morning.” She mumbled.

“Yeah, good morning.” I replied.

She got down from the bed and proceeded to open the door.

“Let’s go out today. For shopping.” I blurted.

“When? Now?” She answered.

“Not now, I mean in the afternoon.”

I wore a white shirt and blue trouser before sitting down in front of the mirror and primp my hair.

I grabbed my phone and left the room waiting for Kimberly to come. Mom wheeled her wheel chair to me amd smiled.

That smile is suspicious.

“You look good, son.” My mom complimented.

“Thanks.” I raised my head up to see Kimberly coming down from the stairs in a blue gown and black heels.

I won’t deny that she’s really beautiful.

I bid my mom goodbye and led the way out and, to where my car was parked.

Minutes later, the car came to a halt and we came down.

Just as we were about to enter. A bullet flew to my direction, making me push Kimberly away and stepped back so it won’t hit me.

I snapped my head up and caught the person with the gun. Without hesitating, I brought out my gun and shot the person in the head.

Kimberly screamed. She shouldn’t scream.

Kimberly’s pov

“Really? I kissed you? Let’s make it four.” He leaned in again and kissed me for the fourth time.

What the hell? I removed my lips fast away from his but he pulled me back and continued the kiss.

This isn’t the hitman I know again. No he isn’t.

“So lush!” He muttered in between the kiss.

Some seconds later, I reciprocated. His hands wrapped around my waist before moving them to my back and rubbed gently.

I let out a moan from the kiss, holding his shirt tight. He’s just a good kisser.

Soon, I broke the kiss before it turns to something else. We were both breathing heavily as a result of the long kiss we had.

I bit my lip and looked away bashfully. Then, I turned to the other side of the bed.

“Good night.” He whispered.

“Hmm…..good night.” I stuttered before sleeping.

Jayden’s pov

I woke up the next morning and watched kimberly sleep. Why do I just feel attracted to her?

I’m just pulled to her all of a sudden.

I breathed out before stepping down from the bed to the bathroom and took my bath before wearing my clothes and walked downstairs.

“Hey mom!” I beamed when I saw my mom In the living room.

She was sitting on the couch instead of the wheel chair. “I guess your legs are getting better than I expected.” I said, walking towards my mom.

“Yes, son. They are getting better. Though I walk with it from here to here.” She pointed to the second couch beside her to the small table in the center of the living room.

“You’re gonna walk pass there, one day. No breakfast yet?” I creased my brows.

“Yes. Sarah is preparing it though.” She replied. “Where’s my daughter?”

“Daughter?” I chuckled. “Last time I checked, I was your only son. And Jessica too.”

“Oh God! I’m talking about Kimberly.” She palmed her face.

“Wow! I guess you’re loving this girl than I thought.” I squeezed my face.

“Son, I told her about what happened months ago. She’s going to help.”

“You told her about us?” I arched my brow.

Kimberly’s pov

I nodded and got up. “Ouch!” I winced immediately I stepped a glass.
Argh!

“Are you okay?” Jayden asked, worriedly.

“My leg hurts!” I yelped.

“You should be careful next time okay?”

“Yeah.”

Before I knew it, he carried me in his arms. My eyes widened at that. I calmed down, wrapping my arms around his neck amd rested my head on his chest.

His chest like wall.

He carried me to his room and dropped me on the bed. He walked to his wardrobe and drew out a first aid kit.

Then, he began dressing my foot that had cut.
“Hmm……” I moaned, biting my lip to endure the pain I was feeling.

“Okay, it all done now.” Jayden dropped the leg on the ground. The foot was with bandage.

“I don’t think I can walk with this leg” I shook my head.

“Then, sleep here” His voice sharp.

“Huh? I thought you’re going to carry me to my room.” I pouted and blinked.

He laughed so hard and he held his stomach.

“What’s funny? I don’t remember saying anything funny.”

“No, you didn’t say anything. I should carry you to your room? Okay, why don’t you sleep here with me.” He gestured.

“What? No. I can’t sleep here with you. Fine! I will go to my room, myself” I retorted.

“Are you angry with me now?” He chuckled when I got up from his bed.

Why’s he so sweet now? One can’t believe this hitman can be cool and friendly. Yeah, half friendly though.

“Yeah…….. Argh!” I can’t walk with this wounded leg of mine.

I felt a hand behind.

“Taking you to bed, baby.”

“Which bed? And baby?” I creased.

“My bed. Yahh!” He threw me on the bed and lay beside, using his hand to wrap me.

“Why are you doing this?”

“I feel relieved like this.” He sighed and closed his eyes.

“Is he asleep?” I asked my self, waving my hand to his face.

“I’m not.” His eyes fluttered opened and that made me flinched. He brought his face closer and kissed me.

“You’ve kissed me thrice today!” I exclaimed.

“Really? I kissed you? Let’s make it four.” He leaned in again and kissed me for the fourth time.

Jayden’s pov

“Huh? I’m smiling? Don’t try to go there mom” I shook my head and folded my arms.

“Okay, okay. Your wish.” She snorted.

I had to help mom climbed the stairs a little, just to exercise her legs before carrying her to the sitting room then came back to take the wheelchair.

Very soon, my mom is going to walk again.

I went back to my room and lay down to rest my aching back.

Kimberly’s pov

I kept touching my lips over and over again. Jayden really kissed me. Oh! He did.

His lips were so lush. I grinned.

‘You’re gradually falling gor him. Don’t you?’ My subconscious told me.

“No, I Can’t fall for him. He’s a hitman! I can’t love him.” I shrugged.

“That’d be soon.” My subconscious mocked again.

Aissh! Just fuvk off.

Later in the evening , I was called downstairs in my.room to come and eat. Avoiding him was best but also not good.

I got to the table and sat beside him. He glanced at me but I quickly looked away.

Why’s this kissing scene always replaying in my head.

The dinner was fun though, with Jayden telling us some jokes. Even his mother had warned him not to talk while he’s eating.

But somehow, he still had to crack a joke. He’s really funny. His heart can be dark but yet, I could see a light shinning in there.

While I was helping Sarah in washing the plates, Jayden came into the kitchen.
My heatt beat faster than normal.

His hand brushed me and I stiffened.

“Should I help the ladies?” He said, in his audible voice.

“No, don’t worry.” Sarah answered.

I grabbed a cup, rinsed it and I was about to fix it In its place but slipped from my hand and broke.

“Sh*t!” I bit my lip and bent down to pick the tiny pieces of glass.

Sarah ran to take a broom and dustpan to clear up the mess.

“I’m sorry” I raised my head to Jayden who had crouched down to help me.

“Its okay. Leave the rest. You might have a cut if you keep picking those glasses with your hand.” He smiled.

I nodded and got up. “Ouch!” I winced immediately I stepped on a glass.
