Do you want to sit by me?” he asked pointing to the seat next to him..

“Dee, sit over here, with Lily and me,” he called rather loudly and pointedly patting the seat next to him.

“Yeah! Sabby, sit with me!” Lily exclaimed,

God, I can’t say no to that, not when it’s Lily. I gave Banahene an apologetic look and he nodded, letting me know it was alright.

“When do you have to be home?”

“Didn’t your mom tell you?” I’m staying here until your training is over. Your mom thought it would be a great idea,” d.

“Wait, what!?”… Oh wait until Kwesi hears this, he’s not going to be happy…

“Are you eating with us tonight?”

“I ate with Lily before we came home

“Oh, well then I guess it’s just us eating dinner tonight,”

“What do you mean us”

“Um, well…you see…Banahene is staying here with us until my training is over…?”

“What!” he yelled,

“Mom, Dad, you can’t be serious, right?”

“No, I’m afraid we are. Why? You don’t like Banahene?”

“Well, no it’s not that. It’s just that I don’t trust him sleeping in the same house with Dee.”

“Don’t worry sweetheart, his room is on the third floor,

“Alright fine, but I’m not happy about it,”

“Kwesi, you don’t have to worry, I’m not like that. Plus I already told you I’m dating someone, remember?”

Banahene has a girlfriend? I didn’t see that one coming… well, maybe I did. I mean he’s hot. So it makes sense that he has a girlfriend. In fact, his girlfriend was probably really pretty; like a supermodel or something.

“Yeah, so?”

“So, I won’t do anything to your sister. Plus I only like her as a little sister, like you do,” he explained.

A little while later Mom and Dad both went up to their rooms and Diva, Banahene, Kwesi, and I began eating our dinner.

Mr. Baker served everyone a delicious looking pizza, except for me. I had a chicken salad (which actually didn’t taste too bad) since I was eating healthily from now on. After we finished eating we all headed upstairs, into our rooms, for a good night sleep, including my trainer

Beep Beep Beep!” was the unfortunate sound I heard when I first got up this morning

“Louisa, sweetheart are you awake yet?” my mom called from outside my room. Louisa is my real name but my friends call me Diva Queen, well i deserve it because i was really a Diva

I yawned and turned over, not replying.

“Louisa!” my mom screamed when she got no response. I closed my eyes, hoping she would go away, but knowing I should answer. Inevitably she came into my room, and threw my covers off me.

“Get up or you will be late for school.”

“But mom, it’s not even 7:30 yet, school starts at eight o’clock,” I whined, grabbing my covers and trying to go back to sleep.

It didn’t work though as she grabbed my covers back saying, “ it takes twenty minutes to get to school, and you’re not even awake yet.”

“Fine….” I mumbled, finally getting up, and going over to my closet.

“Good. Have a nice day at school, honey,” my mom said cheerily as she pecked me on the head and walked out the door.

Diva POV

After doing my makeup I was ready to go, so I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door, yelling goodbye to my parents as I went.

I checked my watch. It was only 7:45 a.m. Wow, I got ready in fifteen minutes! That beats my last record.

Finally I got to school. I timed everything perfectly because as soon as I got through the front door the bell rang.

“Yes, I made it!” .

I entered my classroom.

“Ah, nice for you to join us Diva,” Mr. Boakye said as soon as I walked through the door.

“Sorry sir, I over slept,” I replied, giving him my usual excuse.

“Yeah, that’s what you say all the time.” I heard a few people laugh so I glared at them until they stopped.

I could be scary when I wanted to be, but if I don’t want to kill someone, then I really can be the nicest person you will ever meet.

“Just take a seat,” Mr. Boakye said, bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Fine,” I said before taking the only seat available in the class. After I saw who I was sitting by though, I didn’t bother to conceal a groan. Of all the people I could sit next to, I end up by Kojo.

I hated his guts ever since I first met him, and his bullying Diana made my hatred for him even worse. When he noticed me glaring at him he sent me a big (disgusting) grin.

“Hey, where is your little friend? Um, I think her name was… Dirty Diana?”

“What did you say about Diana?” I asked dangerously as I turned towards him.

“You heard me,” he said cheekily, a smirk on his face. Oh, it’s on!

“Diana is not Dirty, so stop calling her one! She’s not even coming to school any longer because of you!” I shot back, my voice raising higher with every word.

“Oh well then that’s a good thing. We don’t have to look at her ugly face and body ever again.” He began laughing and a few people that overheard him snickered as well. I glared at them my temper rising.

I had it with this guy! Nobody, and I mean nobody, talks about my friend like that and gets away with it!

I got up from my seat, and  walked in front of his desk, staring down at him. He stopped laughing and looked at me with a smirk.

“Diva what are you doing?” The whole class turned to look at me as Mr. Boakye finally realized I was standing.

“Something I should of done years ago,” I replied before I punched him.

He fell out of his seat, covering his now broken nose as he looked at me like I was crazy.

Everyone else in the room was shocked that I had just punched the hottest guy in school. Even though he completely deserved it.

“Miss. Rose, office, now!” Mr. Boakye yelled as Kojo clutched his bleeding nose.

“Whatever,” I said shrugging my shoulders, grabbing my things and heading out the door.

That was completely worth it! I can’t wait to tell Diana this, I thought as I happily skipped my way to the front office.

~Diana’s POV~

“Dee are you awake yet!?”

I yawned a little from my bed, but called down to my mom anyway.

“Yeah, just woke up!”

“Good, your home tutor is here already. Hurry up and get downstairs!”

I yelled back that I had heard her before I finally got up from my bed, and went into my wardrobe. After I grabbed a plain, white t-shirt I ran into the bathroom and took a nice shower.

Once I finished I came downstairs, for breakfast, just a glass of water, and some Oatmeal with bread.

I walked to the living room and immediately saw a middle aged woman

“Hello Diana, I’m Mrs. Naa, your new home tutor,” she said smiling and holding out her hand.

I took it with a small smile.

“Nice to meet you Mrs. Naa.

“Likewise, let’s get started, shall we?” she asked pointing to the seat next to her and getting straight to business.

“Yeah, sure,” i said wanting this day to be over already thinking diva is having a better day then me right now, I thought as I pretended to be interested as Mrs. Naa talked about the novel I was going to read.

~Diva’s POV~

“Miss. Rose, what do you have to say for yourself?” the principal asked me as soon as I walked into the office.

“Nothing,” I said shrugging my shoulders and sitting down.

“Really? Well, Mr. Boakye just called saying you punched Kojo in the face. Is that correct?”

“Yes,” I replied, seeing no point in lying.

“Why did you do that?”

“Because he made me mad.”

“What did he do?”

“Well, do you know Diana my best friend?”

“Yes, she was one of my best students before she dropped out.”

“Well, Kojo called her Dirty Diana, and I had to stand up for my best friend, so I punched him,” I explained to him.

“Did he?” he asked, his eyebrows raising.

“Yes, and I know I shouldn’t have done that, but I couldn’t help it! He just made me so mad!” I said loudly as I got angry from just thinking about it.

“I understand your feelings, but next time just tell a teacher instead of punching someone in the face.”

“Fine, so what happens to me?” I asked, just wanting to get my punishment over with.

“Well, since you’ve never gotten in trouble before and you’re not completely at fault, you will get off with a warning and you have after school detention for the next five days, understand?”

“Fine,” I agreed, understanding that I got off lightly. “

Now of to class Miss. Rose said pointing at the door.

“Yes Ma’am

As soon as I left the office I took out my cellphone and texted Diana, excited to tell her about the day I just had.

“Guess what?”

“What?” she answered back a few seconds later. Wow, home tutoring must be pretty boring.

“I punched Kojo in the face! ” I replied back, smiling outwardly.

“What, really!?”

“Yeah, I just came out of the principal’s office for it.”

“Wow! Why did you punch him?”

“Long story. Do you have time to talk?”

“Not really, I’m with my home tutor, and I can’t really talk that much.”

“Aww! Alright, well then I’ll tell you more when I come over tonight, alright?” I texted her.

“Sure, talk to you later!”

“Bye!” I texted back before I put my phone back inside my pocket, and began heading to my second class of the day.

As I walked inside my World History class, though I noticed Jason. Wow, I didn’t know I had this class with Jason.

I guess this should be interesting, I thought as I took my seat near the front of the classroom.

“So, did I live up to your standards?”

“No not really, you were working my sister way too hard on her first day of training,”

“Well, if she want to lose the weight she has to push herself for the next six months

“Well, the first day of training is over,”

“I’m feeling good,

“Good, well you can rest for the day, but tomorrow, we start again.”

“Great,”

A few seconds later in walked my little sister, Lily, and my dad right behind.

“Sabby!” Lily said running up the stairs to me. Yes, ‘Sabby’ was her little nickname for me ever since she could first speak.

“Really? She told you everything?”

“Yes, Diana. Why didn’t you tell us the kids at school were teasing you?”

“So Lily, want to go see Kwesi?”

“Big bro, is home?”

You want to surprise him?”

“Dad, we’ll be in the media room?”

“Sure, have fun. I’ll be looking for your mother,” he said with a loving smile and a small wave goodbye.

S03E03

I walked into the media room to find that I was correct in assuming that everyone had come here. Banahene was sitting next to Diva, while Kwesi sat on the othervside of her.

They were watching a horror movie on the big screen while eating popcorn and drinking sodas. They still hadn’t noticed that Lily and I had walked in, so I decided that now was a good time to pay my brother back for being so annoyingly protective today.

“Hey, Lily want to scare Kwesi?” I whispered to her.

She placed a hand over her mouth to cover a giggle and whispered back, “Sure.”

“Alright on the count of three, we say boo, got it?”

“ok!” she said smiling.

I grinned and picked her up to quietly tiptoe over to where everyone was sitting. When we got directly behind Kwesi I held up my fingers and silently counted to three.

“Boo!” we both screamed out in unison.

Both Kwesi and Banahene jumped a little from the sound, while Diva continued watching the movie; unaffected.

“What the hell!?” Kwesi yelled, turning around, clearly angry as his face was red with anger. As soon as he saw us though, his expression brightened. “Lily! I didn’t know you were home.”

“Yup!” she exclaimed, giving him her adorable smile.

“Come here and let your big bro give you a bear hug.” he grinned, opening up his arms for her.

“Is that your little sister?” I turned my attention to Banahene and nodded affirmation. “She’s cute,” he said with a small smile.

“Yeah, she is,” I said smiling back. Then, reflecting on how he had jumped, I became a little sheepish. “And, um… sorry for scaring you earlier. We thought it would be funny to sneak up on Kwesi.”

“No problem… and you didn’t scare me,” he lied, his eyes drifting to the side.

“Sure I didn’t…” I said rolling my eyes at him. Before he could protest I changed the subject. “So what movie are you guys watching?”

“Um, I think it’s called The Roommate,” he said, turning his attention back to the screen.

“Oh, yeah I’ve seen that. It was pretty good.”

“Well so far, I like it. Do you want to sit by me?” he asked pointing to the seat next to him.

“Uh, well…” I began before Kwesi interrupted me.

“Dee, sit over here, with Lily and me,” he called rather loudly and pointedly patting the seat next to him.

“Yeah! Sabby, sit with me!” Lily exclaimed, giving me her puppy dog eyes.

God, I can’t say no to that, not when it’s Lily. I gave Banahene an apologetic look and he nodded, letting me know it was alright.

Mr Lecturer

“You are kidding right?. I can’t believe you just made that silly joke” i replied with shock. She rolled her eyes, grabbed her handbag and a fetched out a piece of paper from it.

“here is the test result” she said, offering me the paper which i refused to accept. Instead, i stood up and stared at her furiously.

“i don’t know the game you are trying to play here but if it’s more money that you want from me just spill it out” i barked. She stared at me and breathed deeply.

“why do you always think that everything is all about money?. You got me pregnant and you have to take the responsibility” she breathed strongly.

“this was never part of our agreement” i reminded her.

“yea it never was but i’m now pregnant for you. I didn’t put the pregnancy in there by myself. You did” she accused.

I bit my lips and backed her.
I couldn’t believe my ears. I couldn’t even remember sleeping with her without protection.

“what you are doing isn’t right Comfort. You know i never slept with you without protection” i reminded her.

“yea you are right, but maybe you failed to notice that one of the condoms you used on me had a leakage or something. I’m no virgin Mary. You got me pregnant and we have to make plans for the baby” she defended herself.

“you said “we”?. You must be out of your mind involving me” i screamed.

“you have to find a way of making plans for me and equally open up to your wife before this thing comes out public. I won’t hide the truth when people starts asking questions

*********************************

I went around the rows of chairs until I was next to Kwesi. I took a seat, and started watching the rest of the movie.

Lily was young and by the time the movie was over, she was asleep on Kwesi’s lap. “I’ll be right back, I have to bring Lily to her room,” Kwesi whispered, gathering Lily up in his arms.

“Alright then,

“Bye Dee,” he said smiling at me, and then he looked at Banahene giving him the classic, big brother ‘you-better-not-flirt-with-my-sister-while-I’m-not-here’ look before leaving the media room.

“So, what now?” Diva asked as soon as he left.

“Mmm, don’t know,” I said shrugging my shoulders.

“When do you have to be home?” I asked turning to Banahene

“Didn’t your mom tell you?”

“Tell me what?”

“That, I’m staying here at your house, until your training is over. Your mom thought it would be a great idea,” he explained, eyebrows raised.

“Wait, what!?” I ignored Diva’s surprised whistle and focused on this new tidbit. He was staying here! In my house?

“I thought your mom told you!” he answered in response to my accusatory tone.

“No, she never did.” I shook my head in annoyance and filed a mental note to talk to my mom later… Oh and wait until Kwesi hears this, he’s not going to be happy…

********************************

Mr Lecturer

She threatened seriously. I simply eyed her and stormed out of the hotel room while she ran after me, catching up with me at the hallway. She strongly grabbed my left hand, forcing me to stop.

“this isn’t like the last time you walked out on me. The baby i’m carrying is ours and there isn’t anything you can do to deny it” she said quickly.

“i have a wife Comfort and i can’t make you my second wife” i said to her, snatching my hand from her grasp.

“I hope you know what you are doing?. I won’t bring up this issue with you again but don’t come crying when the consequences come crashing at your door step” she threatened, eyed me and left the building.

I just didn’t know what to do or which way to go. I badly needed a child but not from her. I couldn’t help but think of my wife’s reaction if she discovers what i had done.

“no there must be a way out” i breathed. There wasn’t anyway i was going to allow Comfort to be the mother of my first child.

“what if she ends up giving me a boy?. That would be total calamity, my family will never have peace again. Of course we are in Africa where the first male child of a man is most times the heir to everything, whether legitimately born or not” i reasoned fearfully.

“oh my God no” i breathed, very uncertain of my future.

*********************************

I looked over at Diva, and saw that her eyes were a little wide as well. At least that means that she wasn’t aware that he would be staying at my house either.

“Well, I am, my room is on the third floor, fourth door on the right,” he recited before smiling at me. “Just letting you know.”

“Alright,” I said awkwardly before turning to Diva, “so are you going to sleep over tonight too, or are you going home?”

“Oh, I’m so staying over! I don’t want to miss anything,” she said winking in Banahene’s direction. God, I hope that Kwesi doesn’t find out.

“Alright then, well it’s probably almost dinner time,” I told them, trying to change the subject. “You guys hungry?”

“Cool. I am,” he said.

“Yeah, so am I. What’s for dinner?” Diva chimed in.

“I don’t know. I guess we should head to the kitchen to ask Mr. Baker.”

They agreed and we walked out of the media room and went down stairs, to the first floor. Once we got into the kitchen we found my brother and my parents.

“Hey, is Lily asleep?” I asked my brother.

“Yeah, She was out cold,” he said with a laugh.

I smiled, knowing Lily had had a long day, before turning to my parents. “Are you eating with us tonight?”

“I ate with Lily before we came home so I’m not really hungry. Your mom just ate too,” my dad answered.

“Oh, well then I guess it’s just us eating dinner tonight,” I said with a shrug before moving towards the kitchen. I was stopped by the sound of my brother’s voice though.

“What do you mean us” Kwesi asked, his tone sounding dangerous. I swallowed and paused before slowly turning towards my brother.

“Um, well…you see…Banahene is staying here with us until my training is over…?” I mumbled quickly under my breath, trying not to cringe under my brother’s hard stare.

“What!” he yelled, jumping up from his seat and glaring at me. I nodded my head slowly in response, trying not to look at him or Banahene. My brother turned angrily to my parents.

“Mom, Dad, you can’t be serious, right?” Kwesi asked, sounding a little desperate.

“No, I’m afraid we are. Why? You don’t like Banahene?” My mom asked, concerned that she’d made a wrong choice in trainers.

“Well, no it’s not that. It’s just that I don’t trust him sleeping in the same house with Dee.”

“Don’t worry sweetheart, his room is on the third floor, which is close to our room, so he wouldn’t be able to get to Diva’s room without us knowing,” my mom said politely, trying to calm him down. It seemed to work a little as he took in a deep breath and sat back down.

“Alright fine, but I’m not happy about it,” he grumbled, crossing his arms. In order to appease him, Banahene chimed in as well.

“Kwesi, you don’t have to worry, I’m not like that. Plus I already told you I’m dating someone, remember?”

Banahene has a girlfriend? I didn’t see that one coming…well, maybe I did. I mean he’s hot. So it makes sense that he has a girlfriend. In fact, his girlfriend was probably really pretty; like a supermodel or something.

“Yeah, so?” Kwesi asked, obviously not feeling any more comfortable with him.

“So, I won’t do anything to your sister. Plus I only like her as a little sister, like you do,” he explained.

Of course, I was hoping for a little more, but I guess Banahene thinking of me as a little sister would probably be better in the long run.

“Whatever,” Kwesi replied, turning his back on him.

Feeling uncomfortable in the tense silence I cleared my throat. “Um, let’s just eat dinner, shall we?”

“Fine,” Kwesi and my trainer said in unison before Kwesi glared at him. Yeah….I can tell that the next six months is going to be so much fun!

…….Note the sarcasm.

The New Ebola.

0

THE NEW EBOLA

It is very pathetic that a lot of souls are being lost out of the disease called Ebola virus (Ebola

virus disease), otherwise known as EBOLA, which has become epidemic. This disease first

surfaced in 1976 and went into hiding until 1992. It got lost once again and the world relapsed

into it in 2002. It then came up again in 2011 and vanished until December 2013 up to now. Two

thousand, two hundred and ninety-six (2,296) people out of four thousand, two hundred and

ninety-three (4,293) suspected cases have so far perished through this recent onset of the disease.

There are five types of EBOLA; being, the Sudan ebolavirus, Zaire ebolavirus, Bundibugyo

ebolavirus, Reston ebolavirus, and Tai forest ebolavirus. Out of these five, it is the Sudan

ebolavirus and Zaire ebolavirus which always pop up to cause such serious affliction.

A few key facts about the Ebola disease are as follows: the Ebola virus disease was formerly

known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever when it was first discovered in 1976 in two simultaneous

outbreaks at Nzara in South Sudan, and Yambuku in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The

latter was in a village situated near the Ebola River from which the disease takes its name. The

Ebola virus disease outbreaks have a fatality rate of up to 90%. The virus is mostly transmitted to

people from wild animals and it spreads in the human population through human to human

transmission. Fruit bats of the pteropodidae family are considered to be the natural and primary

host of Ebola virus. Severely ill patients require intensive care. No licensed specific treatment or

vaccine is available for use in people or animals.

It is very important for us to note the signs and symptoms of the Ebola disease. This disease is

often characterized by the sudden onset of fever, intense weakness, muscle pain, headache and

sore throat. This is followed by vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function

and, in some cases, both internal and external bleeding. Humans are infectious as long as their

blood and secretions contain the virus. The incubation period, that is the time interval from

infection with the virus to onset of symptoms, is two to twenty-one days.

Now you may be wondering what the New EBOLA is. Relax and continue reading. The New

EBOLA is a sharp contradiction to the Ebola virus disease. It actually seeks to rather transform

lives but not to deform and destroy lives as the Ebola virus disease does.

The New Ebola is an acronym. The “E” stands for Effectiveness, where “Effectiveness” means

producing an intended purpose in life with hard work and determination. It also means being

skilled and effective in your own field of speciality. It is through this that one may achieve what

one seeks for in life.

The “B” stands for Boldness. To be bold means being brave to solve pertinent issues in the

family, society, and the world over. If you are bold, you are always ready to take a risk so as to

make things work out for you. Do you fear to do something you have ever wished to do? I want

to challenge you to be bold and do that thing and you will be shocked how much you will

achieve.

The “O” is for Originality. Do not imitate anybody in life: no matter how famous, skilful or

brilliant they may be. Be as original as possible. Your originality brings the best out of you. You

can learn from others but do well not to be like them. Be yourself.

The “L” in the new EBOLA represents being Lucrative. Are you profitable to yourself, the

society and to others? What do you have to share with the world? You must be the oil palm tree

of the world so that no part of you will go waste. By this you will attract others to you and you

will continue to enjoy life through the benefits that others derive from you.

Are you affable? Affable is what the “A” in EBOLA represents. If you are not approachable, you

are a loser. If you always repel others, you stand the risk of developing a heart attack. Your

affability will open wide the gate of salvation for you.

You are therefore admonished to be the New EBOLA. Do not be the Ebola virus disease which

will deform and destroy your family, society and the world. You should rather be the New

EBOLA to contribute to the positive transformation of your family, society and the world at

large.

God be with us all.

GREAT THINGS, SMALL BEGINNINGS

Have you ever wondered how the great things, edifice and wonderful automobiles came into being? Big question, but simple answer. It came from within wonderful men who were not super humans but have chosen to think.

There will be people telling the reason it can’t be possible. Do not mind them because they don’t know what God has whispered into your ears.

Let me tell you a little story about how Coca-Cola came into being and is now a global brand. Coca-cola was invented by one chemist called John Pemberton in the year 1888. He started serving it in glasses and sold it at a pharmacy. Business was not good so he sold the right to Asa Candler for $2300. Asa also severed it in glass and still sold it in a pharmacy. He was one day approached by two men, Whitehair and Thomas who challenged Asa that coca-cola can be severed in bottles. Asa didn’t believe them and sold the right to them for only $1. Quit interesting right? It was all about good managerial skills to push coca-cola into bottles which Asa didn’t know. The two, Whitehair and Thomas started bottling coca-cola and sold them outside the pharmacies and today, the rest is history. A drink which used to be severed to 8 persons per day is now severed to 1.5 billion people per day. This story really educates us on the fact that we must cherish our dreams no matter how small it is.

In life, you would have to deal with rejection and people who writes you off. When people write you off and you don’t prove them wrong then they are right.

Consider life like a Rich man who has given you a blank cheque to write any amount on it for it to be cashed for you. The choice now is solely yours now. What will you write on the blank cheque? The tragedy of life is that we write small an amount of money on it. Can’t we shun fear and write bigger amounts of money on them?

What are you ready to take the ridicule of life for? The irony of life is such that those who ridicule us are no near us. Serious people who are ahead of you do not have the time to ridicule others. If anybody laughs at you, do not get upset, the person has indicated he is behind you. There are possibilities around us. Let us search around us and within us and we will find them.

Do not give up on your ideas no matter how small that is. Be ready to start small, think great and you shall succeed.

GREAT THINGS, SMALL BEGINNINGSwpid-father-and-son.jpg. May God bless us and all our ideas.

MATTERS OF THE HEART

CHAPTER TWO..

The feeling where everything feels right, where you don’t have to be worried about tomorrow or yesterday, where you feel safe and know you are doing the best you can, is called “LOVE”… This is all what every person yearn for in life. That is to say everybody loved to be love.

In our quest to find one person we can share our deepest inner and hidden truth with, we sometimes stumble and fall, shake and tremble, do deep centered research and becomes much meticulous in our dealings. Have you ever thought of what pushes a person to say I love you to the other among others? It is all about that usual feeling called love.

At the age of twenty, I started my findings of dating a special and awesome lady and I decided to date her as long as I can because I believe in long term relationship and I also didn’t want to repeat a history. I met one lady who was very caring and dear to me at that age. Only God knows why we broke up. But as far as I know, we were not meant to be together that is why we broke up.

Just after a year I broke up with her, I met one adorable and charming lady who till date is very special to my heart of whom I showed interest but she never gave me chance to go out with her though she had that feeling of love for me but due to various challenges she couldn’t make it up to me. Pathetic right!!? hmm… If you have never been tossed by a lady, never say that Ladies are not powerful.

After some few months , I saw this graceful and pretty queen. I really loved her and even till now that we are no more, I still feel and love her. I never believe love at first sight until I met her. She pulled me to herself the first time I saw her and that made me to propose to her without doing my normal background research. It is quite unfortunate that this one lasted for only three months and seventeen days. This breakup really strike my heart and made me to feel rejected and been aware that when it comes to matters of Love, Akwasi is unlucky.

Quite pathetic those experience and moments have been. I have learnt a lot and the first lesson is that when it comes to matters of Love I am unlucky. Second is that one must be patient when it comes to matters of love. Also communication is key to every relationship. The other is that one must trust his partner no matter what happens. The best advise is found in the Song of Solomon 3:5. The last lesson is that without God no can Love because God is Love.

This is a true life story about me. You may laugh at me, help me cry and better still feel my pain but I hope and believe in God that this Love story have and will speak volumes of sense to you.

You may also be wondering what next for me now, from this learning experience. LOVE MATTERS, MY OWN SIDE OF THE STORY

CHAPTER ONE

Issues about love has always been dicey and has always been treated meticulously. Now the question is, what at all is that “LOVE”?

From the time of Adam till now, philosophers, authors and scientists have tried to define love from different perspectives; the scientists say that “Love is a chemistry”, the authors mention that “Love is the inspiration for great books”, whereas the philosophers has place on record that “Love is a passionate commitment”. I do not disagree with them but I do have my own understanding of love.

Per my own definition of love, it is the acceptance of the other for whatever he is. Moreover sharing even the small you have with others. Now note that love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get but what you are expecting to give and that is everything. Love is not the desire to, sorry to say, sleep around with people every second of the day neither is it lying in bed imaging someone kiss every cranny of your body. That is a big NO! and that is just been “in Love” and forgive my words, every fool or sane person can do just that.

I used to think that locking up my heart in a casket was a sure way of keeping it from been broken. I did discovered that even inside the casket which is safe, dark, motionless, airless, my heart could still be broken. It will not be broken but it will become unbreakable, impenetrable and irredeemable. A good friend once told me that “Love changes people and a heartbreak is God’s way of telling you that you were never meant to be.

I do not know how true it is but what I do know is that when you are truly engaged in giving and receiving, you do not ponder over questions like “What is Love?” For it is in giving that we feel loved and it is in love that we do give. Jesus in The Holy Bible tells us to love God with all our hearts and Love our neighbours as ourselves. That clearly means that if we can’t hurt ourselves, we can’t and will never hurt those we claim to love. So why then should we allow a heartbreak and our insecurities deter us from experiencing such an amazing feeling. Tell the people you love that you love them at every opportunity you get because when they leave, no matter how hard you scream or cry, they will never hear and attend to you.

I have made that step into experiencing true love, and I have had my own share of it. I then finally got to know that when it comes to matters of love, Akwasi is always unlucky and at the losing end because of how he has been treated by different shades of women thou he is currently single. God bless you if you ever became part of me. Are ready to take that bold step to know your status?

This is matters of the heart and love chapter one, expect the chapter two which sought to tell you how I was been treated by different shades of women very soon.

Much appreciation to Nana Bah Philomena of Kumasi Poly for sharing with me a lot of theories about love that inspired this write.

I am fired up to bring you the chapter two very soon. Thanks for reading.
