I was confused, I even lost the opportunity to be the course rep. that year, I never knew I was hated for being academically sound. The school sheriffs came and took us away, we were fined and warned not to try that nonsense again or we will be taken to the senate building, that one na to just give you red-card for the school. We went to library together, go home together, Deborah can read fah! I began asking myself when the girl wasn’t having to many A’s like me? I later learnt finance was the issue because she couldn’t afford the kind of text books I used, and also do some assignments that demanded so much money.
