“Hey, can I play with you?” someone asked.

“Sure,”

“Thanks, My name is Diana, what’s yours?”

“Jason.”

“That’s a nice name,” she said.

Mommy always said that when someone gives you a compliment, you give one back to them.

“Thanks, I like yours too,” I said, smiling down at my good job!

“Thanks! So what are you doing?” she asked, probably staring at my sandcastle that was at least six feet high!

“Building a….” I began, but stopped when I glanced at her face for the first time. She was so pretty, with long hair, and bright blue eyes. She had the cutest smile ever, and she was smiling at me! Mommy, is she my princess?

“Building what?” she asked, tilting her head to the side a little, acting even more cute!

“Um…uh…a…uh…a c-castle,” I said, stuttering while staring into her clear blue eyes.

“Really?” she asked, her blue eyes shining with excitement. “Can I help?”

“S-sure,” I nodded eagerly.

“Dee time to go!” a guy yelled loudly at her.

“Who’s that?” I asked her

“My brother,”

Finally I just screamed out, “Diana!”

They stopped, and she turned around, giving me her adorable smile. “Yeah?”

“Um…bye!”

She giggled a little, calling out “Bye Jay!”

Jay? I kind of like that. It’s cute, just like her. I’m her Jay.

“Jason! Massa pay attention!” Yaw said, snapping me out of my daydream.

“I am!” I shouted back at him.

“Sure,” he said chuckling and rolling his eyes at me as he went back to talking to some chick.
Damn! I can’t believe I was daydreaming about that! I haven’t even thought about that since the incident

Diana’s POV~ .

“Hey Diana, why don’t you sit with us?” Kojo asked,

“I told you no, remember?”

“Of course I remember, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t have changed your mind by now,”

“Sorry but I’m sitting with my friend today, so if you would excuse us,” I said

I felt someone grab my bag, stopping me from walking any further. “Please?” he begged, almost pleading me with his blue eyes.

“No, and let go,”

“And what if I don’t want to?” he asked playfully.

“This,” was all I said, giving him a powerful kick in the knee.

Turning around from that jerk of a guy, I headed toward Diva’s table. “Sorry about that,” I told her as I slid into the seat across from her.

“It’s fine! I got a good laugh when I saw you kick him.”

. “Oh yeah! My plan,”

“What plan?” she questioned confused

“Well, you see, my plan was to break Kojo’s heart, Since Rachel is dating him, taking him away from her will crush her too, so it’s going to be perfect!”

“Right, but how do you know he’ll fall for you and say that he loves you?”

“I don’t.” I shrugged. “But I do know that he has already taken a liking to me, so that’s a start.”

She nodded. “Okay, and when does this plan of yours start?”

“Not now,” I told her, finally digging into my lunch. “Soon though.”

“I think that’s good then,” she said. “Just make sure to tell me when it starts so I can watch!”

You’re leaving? who’s picking you up?” I asked Banahene, making small talk.

“Um, my girlfriend.”

“Oh, that’s nice.” I haven’t really seen Jenna since my party, so it would be nice to see her again.

“Yeah.”

“Well, is she here yet?” I asked once we reached the gate, when the gate keeper saw us, he opened the gate at once. Banahene walked past it and nodded towards the direction of a little red car that was parked right outside the gate.

“That’s her.”

When Jenna saw us, she ran towards Banahene and gave him a quick peck on the lips. She smiled, glancing at me.

“Hey Diana, nice to see you again.”

“You too.”

She nodded, giving Banahene her full attention again.

“Here, let me,” Jenna said, grabbing one of the smaller bags he had, she brought it over to her car and opened the trunk. She placed the bag inside as Banahene placed the other two in, when they were done, she closed the trunk and headed over to the driver’s seat.

Banahene did the same, but went in the passenger’s side instead, closing the door behind him, He rolled down his window and leaned out to wave goodbye.

“Bye dear, see you soon!”

I nodded, not knowing what else to say as Jenna drove down the street. I watched the small red car drive away until it was just a spec in the distance.

“Bye Banahene,” I whispered once the car disappeared out of my line of view, hearing a barking noise, I looked down to see Sweets’ tongue hanging out, smiling at me with her big brown eyes.

“Don’t worry, I’m fine,” I told her, bending down to her level and brushing her soft coat with my hands.

Panting, she moved her head towards my hand, telling me to keep petting her. When I stopped, she got on her back legs and leaned her paws on my shoulders as she gave me puppy kisses.

“Come on now! Stop it Sweets, that tickles,” I giggled as she kept licking my face.

“Cute dog,” someone said from behind me.

That voice! It couldn’t be, it just couldn’t. I slowly turned around, hoping I was mistaken, but I wasn’t. There stood Kojo, in a plain t-shirt and a pair of jeans, with that stupid smirk on his face.

“Why are you here?” I asked as I stood up, picking Sweets up with me.

“Looking for you,” he replied, smirking.

“Cute.” I rolled my eyes. “Now what’s the real reason you’re here?” I asked again.

“That’s the real reason. I wanted to see you, so I followed you here from school.” He shrugged like it wasn’t a big deal or anything. Wow! Stalker much?

“You followed me here?” I asked, raising my eyebrows at him. He nodded. “Why?”

“I wanted to see where you live.”

“Well you saw, now can you leave?” I asked, already getting annoyed just standing here talking to him.

“Who was the guy you were talking to?” he asked changing the subject,

Strange, why did his voice sound like he was jealous or something? Nah, that can’t be right. Kojo, jealous of a guy because of me? Like that would ever happen. I’m probably hearing things. Shaking that thought out of my head, I answered him. “Banahene.”

“Who’s that?” he asked, trying to keep his voice under control.

“Someone you don’t need to know.”

“Fine,” he said, giving up. “Do you know Kwesi?” he asked suddenly, catching me off guard, Crap! He hasn’t realized I’m Diana already right? I was starting to panic. What if he did? My whole plan would be ruined if he knew! Okay breathe, Diana breathe. Just play it cool, it’s not like he’s asking you if you’re Diana, right? So it should be fine.

“Why do you want know?” I asked, keeping my voice as calm and normal as possible.

“Because this is his house,” he said as he glanced over his shoulder and pointed to our house.

“Really?” I asked, making my eyes go wide with shock as I pretended I knew nothing.

“Yeah, so do you know him?” he asked again, staring at me with this weird look on his face.

“No, not really.” I shook my head. This is my house, and I don’t know that Kwesi kid,” I said, lying through my teeth.

“I guess the family moved or something,” he mumbled to himself, but I heard him loud and clear.

“Yeah, I guess.”

“Wait, what?” he asked, not realizing I heard him talking.

“That maybe, that  Kwesi’s family moved away or something,” I explained to him, he nodded, accepting it.

“So, is your family like really rich or something?”

“You could say that.”

“Well, you live in a big house like that says you’re very rich,” he said, taking another look at the house, admiring it for some strange reason.

“I guess.” I didn’t really want to talk to him any longer, so I began walking away from him, hoping he wouldn’t notice I was gone, I made it to the end of the street, when I heard his voice.

“Hey! Wait up!”

Shit, so close! Even though I didn’t want to turn around, I did anyways.

“What?” I asked him as he jogged up to me.

“Where are you going?”

“To the park, I’m walking Sweets,” I said, gesturing to Sweets who was in my arms, though I really should’ve let her down sooner. I mean I’m supposed to walk her, not carry her.

“Can I join you?”

Raising my head up, I glared at him, telling him no. I started walking again, when he grabbed my arm, pulling me back towards him.

“Please?” he pouted, his bottom lip sticking out. Wait a minute! Why am I even looking at his lips? I quickly moved my eyes from his lips and looked away from him. I would’ve done anything if it got him to shut up!

“Fine!” I sighed. I mean, even if I told him no, he would’ve still been bugging me until I gave in, right? We walked side by side in silence, just the way I liked it, when he finally  opened his big mouth.

“So Dee, where did you go to school before you came to our school?” he asked, trying to start a conversation.

“Um, this private school near T poly,” I said quickly, coming up with a small lie.

“That’s nice. I’ve been here all my life,” he continued, talking away.

“That’s good,” I said. Have you ever been to the park before?” I asked, before I had time to even realize I was actually continuing this conversation myself, He looked at me for a few good seconds in shock before he started smiling like an idiot.

“Yeah when I was little, what about you?”

“Not really.” I shook my head. The first time I went to a park was a few months ago,” I replied back, actually telling the truth this time.

“Really?” He asked, staring at me in shock. You have never been to the park at all when you were younger?”

“Well, to tell you the truth, I don’t really remember much about my childhood.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I don’t remember anything before the age of ten.”

“Nothing at all?” he asked.

“Nope, nothing at all.”

“Why is that?” he questioned, actually sounding curious.

“Don’t know.” He decided to let the subject drop, and I was happy that he didn’t ask any further questions.

“Look, we’re here.” He came to a halt. Confused, I looked up. Kojo was right, we were at the park! Wow, how did that happen? Just a minute ago, we were at my house.

“Hey! Isn’t that Jason?” Kojo asked, bringing my attention back to him.

“What?” I asked, thinking I had heard wrong.

“Jason Boateng, my best friend. He’s from our school. Look, he’s playing in the sandbox,” he said, pointing straight ahead. I followed his finger, and he was right. Jason was there, sitting in the sandbox, digging for something.

“Jason?” I whispered softly.

What is he doing here?
