Madrigal’s p.o.v

As she was going to
take the third step, her legs gave way and just in time, I was able to prevent her from falling.

“I’m okay, let go.” She turned to face me after I withdrew my hands.

“What is going on between you and Sandra?” Her words didn’t come out slurred this time and she sounded like she wasn’t even drunk at all.

“There is nothing going on between us.” I answered.

“Would you guys be kissing if there was nothing going on between you two and to consider that I was starting to like you. I was such a big fool to think you feel the same way about me and shame on you for choosing Sandra over me.” She sniffled.

“It is not what you think, I wasn’t expecting her to show up at my office and before I knew it, she was forcing herself on me, you just happened to walk in that moment.”

“You are lying.” She sulked.

“Have I ever lied to you before?” I asked.

She didn’t say anything to that and a grave silence pervaded between us for some time.

All the while, I couldn’t stop staring at her lips and just when I thought I was going to lose it if I didn’t leave the room as soon as possible, she got on her tiptoes and taking me by surprise, pressed her lips unto mine.

I stiffened at the kiss and she pulled away, looking pained at how I didn’t respond to the kiss.

As she turned to walk away, I grabbed her hand and pulled her back to me and for someone who had wanted to kiss her a long time ago, I didn’t hesitate to claim her lips.

I kissed her like my life depended solely on it.

At first, she froze but in no time, she started responding to the kiss and I pulled her even closer to me with my arms tightly wrapped round her waist until our bodies were fully pressed against each others. The kiss got deeper and intense which seemed to make my already growing desire for her to heighten.

Wanting to have more of her, my hands found their way under her blouse and then to the straps of her bra.

I loosened the hooks, earning a soft moan from her as my hands made a contact with her soft bréasts.

I could feel her n!pples harden under my touch.

In a flash, we were on her bed with us still not breaking the kiss and then, we had made out.

I got off her after some time though I still wanted to have more of her or maybe I could never have enough of her.

I took her into the bathroom afterwards to bathe her and by the time I was done, she was already sleeping and snoring softly.

Hazel’s p.o.v

It was only until I got to work on Monday I remembered the box of red roses I received on Saturday and was going to ask madrigal about.

Before closing for work that day, the thought of returning back home became something I dread for the very first time and so as not to return back home early, I drove to my parents shop to check on them.

By the time I knew it, it was time to return back home.

“Bye love.” My mother said hugging me.

“Bye mom, bye dad.”

“Continue to take good care of yourself and my regards to madrigal.”

“Okay dad.”

After another hug, I got into my car to drive home.

Fortunately for me, he wasn’t at the dining table when I got home.

At 8pm, when I was going to turn off the headlamps to go to sleep, my phone buzzed and when I checked, it was a message from madrigal.

It said; If you are still awake, can you please come to the swimming pool room?

I could choose to pretend not to see it till the following morning but I choose not to do that.

I got out of bed after stripping off the covers from my body.

Only, my heart was racing.

He was seated on the long chair by the swimming pool side in a gray sweater top over a pair of black shorts when I got there.

His eyes wouldn’t leave me even until I had reached him.

“I thought you weren’t going to come.” He said once I was seated beside him.

Feeling guilty, I kept my head down.

“About Saturday night, I’m so sorry for taking advantage of your drunken state, I had no idea you were still a virgin and even if you weren’t, it was just so wrong of me.” He apologized.

“You shouldn’t be, I started it.”

“Look at me.” He requested but when I refused to, he tilted my head up a little so I could look at him.

“Was it what you wanted?” He asked me.

Looking into his dark gray eyes, the memory of the night before were again afresh and I was forced to look away.

“I guess not then.” He sounded hurt.

“Is there someone you are going out with?” He probed.

“Uh?”

“Box of red roses.” He hinted.
