I slipped my hands into Kyle’s, making him turn to me and smile.
He swung them back and forth as we took a long walk in the massive, town park that was right by our home.
It was sunny outside, nothing unusual about California.
And for once in my life, I actually thought this sunny day was beautiful.
I don’t know why, but everything seems at peace.
Everything around us was quiet, except for the faint laughter and voices of nearby people, tweeting birds, children playing , and distant jazz music coming from a street performer in the other end of the street.
Still, everything was perfect.
Kyle decided to tease me, swing our hands back and forth with much force, so into him.
I bumper into his chest, while he ducked his face down and kissed me.
“You know what it’s gonna be?” He asks, pulling away.
“The wedding, I mean.”
I shrugged, unknowingly.
“It’s gonna be a winter wedding.”
A wide smile curved on to my lips.
I have always wanted a special wedding and a winter wedding is better than that.
“Gosh, really?” I squealed engulfing Kyle’s stomach with my arms.
His arms wrapped around my neck.
He kissed the top of my head.
“I love you”
“I love you too”. He replied.
” more than anything in the world.”
I grinned softly, thinking about everything that would happen after the wedding.
Our whole life together.
Then I realized something and pulled away from him.
He held my hand again, as we walked through the park sidewalk.
“Do you know what happened to Michael? Why Andrea and he broke up, I mean” I trailed off, thinking of any possible reason.
Michael was so in love with her, and she with him or at least.
I thought she loved him.
They have been together for two years now, I don’t think anyone expected them to break up.
“He said they aren’t working… I don’t know.”
Kyle bit his lips, then looked around.
“Listen, kiara…” He glanced back at me, his eyes not leaving my face.
“What?” I pressed.
“I know I should have told you this before but…” A look of guilt washed over his face.
“But , I got so attached to you that I forgot anything about it, you know. And then, I hadn’t realized I forgot to tell you and I’m really sorry I didn’t, but I don’t want you to get mad at me or anything. I love you. I really do and I…”
“Kyle, can you stop?” I laughed at his rumbling.
“I won’t be mad.”
He ran his fingers through his hair, unsure.
He nodded, slowly.
Breathing deeply, he started to speak again.
“When…when I was in my junior year, you know, I still had that….one night stand thing going on…”
I nodded,my face getting hot.
I never liked this topic.
“Every night it was a different girl, from freshmen, to seniors.Actually, I find that really disgusting now.” He paused, crunching up his nose.
“I slept with older girls and… Andrea….”
I looked down at the ground.
That broke my heart and the fact that he did it with one of my closest friends.
I guess I should have saw it coming.
It shouldn’t be this surprising, yet it is.
To be honest,I actually did sort of hurt how he did that with so many other girls.
It made me feel less special.
Less lowed for some reasons.
I didn’t notice that kyle kissed my cheek until he pull my face toward him.
“Are you mad?” He asked in a low, gruff voice.
I shook my head nor saying anything, nor looking at him.
“Look at me.”
When I didn’t respond, he lifted my head so that I had no choice but to look at him.
“Are you upset?” I shrugged, still not saying anything.
