KIARA

“So easy to forget our love. The little things we do. Like calling for no reason. Just to say the words, ‘Baby I love you’. I know lately, I’ve been busy. But a second doesn’t go by without you crossing my mind”

Sighing, I clicked ‘ANSWER’ on my phone, cutting Bruno Mars’ beautiful voice off, as I played with the hem of my jacket.

“Hello?”

“Hey Rose, this is….”

“Sandra” I answered for her, cutting off her soft voice.

“I know, so what’s up?”

“Nothing much. So, you wanna hang out today maybe?” She asked me.

I smiled, ruffling my hair.

“Sure! Why not? Um, meet me at Starbucks?” I suggested.

“Yeah, Starbucks is good. See you there.” She said and hung up after I replied with a ‘bye’.

I stretched my arms as I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.

I found kyle in the Dining Room, drinking coffee.

I skipped up to him and kissed his cheek, receiving a peck on the lips.

“Good morning.” I smiled.

He chuckled.

“Good morning.” He replied.

“So, I was wondering if me and you….” He motioned between us.

“could go to the park today.”

My smile fell, and a frown appeared.

“Sorry,” I scratched my almost-dry hair because I had been in the shower.

“I’m sort of hanging out with a friend today.”

Kyle sighed,

“It’s fine. Maybe tomorrow?” He responded, a small smile forming on his lips when he glanced at me.

I nodded.

“Tomorrow.” I assured.

“Hey kyle, do you mind if I have breakfast at Starbucks?”

kyle shrugged.

“With your friend?”He narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

I rolled my eyes and snickered.

“She is a girl.”I informed him, causing his suspicious face to fade into a dumbstruck emotion.

“I’m going now kyle.”

Kyle nodded and pulled me in for a kiss, igniting the sparks.

I pulled away, though I didn’t want to, and pecked his cheek.

“Bye.”

“See you baby.” He shouted as I closed the door behind me and walked to my car.

I put the keys in ignition, and hot the ‘gas’ peddle, driving off to Starbucks.

When I got there, I found Sandra sitting in one of the tables, so I headed there.

“Hey!” I exclaimed, snapping her out of her thoughts.

“Oh hey kiara!” She smiled.

“What’s up?”

“The ceiling.” I laughed.

Sandra scoffed.

“That’s so old.”

“But so used.” I added, raising an eyebrow.

The waiter came and asked for our orders.

Yes, in our Starbucks, they actually come to you for your orders.

“I will have the Cheese Danish and an Iced Caffe Mocha.” I told the waiter, and he went to take Sandra’s order.

After we received the orders, sandra and I had started up a few conversations.

“So, how did you and your guy-friend meet?” She winked, as I laughed.

“It’s actually a complicated story, I don’t like talking about it much.” I made an excuse because when it comes to new people, I don’t cope with them that easily.

“But, my feelings are pretty much all over the place for him.”

“So, how long have you been together now?”

“Um, two weeks.” I bit my lip, arguing whether I should tell her about the marriage or not.

“Actually…” I began.

“We were sort of forced into the relationship that we are in.”

Sandra furrowed her eyebrows.

“Forced?”
