AN ELECTION GONE WRONG -Episode 5

 
On your way home, you met someone. She was a young lady. She spotted a blue sleeveless top with a pencil-type pair of white trousers. Her name is Esinam. Esinam was one lady you have been crushing on for ages but you could not stand her. Her sense of fashion often killed you for you saw yourself below her level. ‘Monkeys they say play by their sizes’. But today, you were also dressed in the finest shirts anyone your age could wear at such a moment and you were among the very few people who used Iphone 8S so you were sure you could stand her that day. You decided to talk to her. “Indeed, money is power”.
 
“Hello, pretty one” you greeted
 
“Hi”
 
“How are you doing this morning and where are you headed?”
 
“I’m good. Going to a friend’s”
 
“Good. I’m walking along same direction. Guess I can accompany you then?”
 
“Well, that’s welcomed” she said, staring at you.
 
“So, I’ve been seeing you around mostly. Are you from here?” you said. You mentioned your name to her.
 
“Yes, of course. I’m from this town. I’m Esinam”

“Wow! Esinam! (He has heard me), I’m sure God has heard my prayers already with you”
 
“I see. So what do you do?”
 
“I am a politician” you replied. You took out your Iphone 8S and feigned a call.
 
Esinam opened her eyes in admiration just at the sight of the phone. You quickly placed back the phone into your pocket.
 
“Is that Iphone 8S?” She asks with delight.
 
“Yes, yes, yes. This is the latest one now. I bought it two weeks ago” you replied
 
“Wow! That’s great. I’ve been longing to use it”
 
“Oh! Don’t worry. Since God has heard my prayers with you, I shall get you one soon” you said
 
“Wow! That’s awesome. Thank you so much.”
 
“No thanks. You don’t deserve to lack anything with your beauty”
 
“Okay, sir. Please, that house is where I’m going. Thanks for your company. I really enjoyed it” she said.
 
“I enjoyed it too. Can I have your dial so I could say Hi?” you said while handing over your phone to her.
 
She couldn’t resist the joy that grew in her heart and so she quickly took the phone from you and punched the digits. You then saved the contact and went back home.
That night, you slept soundly on your bed until around 1 A.M when your soul was engaged in a fierce battle in the land of dreams.
 
And this brings us to the end of episode 5 of this interesting story. Please and please, no matter where you are or who you are, try as much as possible to uphold peace and justice in the least way you can during this election. Ghana needs you alive! Your family and friends need you alive! Stay safe and promote peace!
