School was very boring as I sat in class, Fred had relocated to my side, no one suspected we were together though the majority knew Fred liked me, it was raining heavily and I was thinking how magical it would be to make love on a rainy night.
“Babe” I heard Fred call out to me and looked around to see if anyone heard it too before looking at him.
“I’ve missed you, are you coming to my place after school?”
I looked at him, after Kwesi, I hadn’t allowed him to touch me, not because I was feeling dirty but because I didn’t want to feel something opposite of what I was feeling with Kwesi.
“Oh no dear, it’s that time of the month so……” I said with a smile,
‘it will be over soon okay”. He smiled and held my hand.
“Ei Fred, is love by force, leave Eli alone la”.

A guy from class said. “Abeg mind your own business, is it of your concern?” Fred replied. He turned to me “why do you want us to keep this relationship a secret, I don’t care about others, when a person asks for discretion, it’s because they have something to hide, so what do you have to hide?”
I looked at him, he was right, I had something to hide, Kwesi had a friend in my class, they were age mates except Kwesi was from a rich home and had everything at his disposal, had been educated on speed and was now working in his dad’s company.
“Why would I have anything to hide, I’m with you am I not, so what are you talking about?” I walked out of the classroom angrily, I didn’t know how else to handle this issue.
I didn’t know who to talk to, I didn’t know what criteria I was supposed to use in choosing a man, the one who made me happy by caring and showing his love, or the one who gave me amazing sex and loved me?
