28 ‘Sakawa boys’ arrested in Tamale

Twenty-eight persons suspected to be involved in Internet fraud, ‘Sakawa’ in the Tamale metropolis have been arrested. The suspected Sakawa boys, also referred to as Shattas in the Tamale metropolis, were arrested during joint police and military swoops at the Moshi Zongo and other areas in the metropolis on Saturday night Even though a police source that confirmed the arrest to the Daily Graphic in Tamale failed to give details on the operations, it is believed to be part of efforts by the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to clamp down on the rise of cyber fraud activities among the youth in Tamale.

The source said some of the boys who managed to escape arrest have fled the city but indicated that the security agencies would not relent in their efforts to weed out miscreants in the metropolis. Clamp down At a public function last week, the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, gave a hint that the Regional Security Council was going to clamp down on the operations of the ‘Sakawa Boys.’ The swoop is, therefore, believed to be part of the strategy by the security to deal with such criminal activities which is tarnishing the image of the city.

The minister also condemned the rising youth indiscipline in the metropolis, and urged all, especially religious and traditional leaders, to support efforts to deal with the situation. Intransigence The ‘Sakawa boys’ who were infuriated by the pronouncement of the minister to “crush them,” dared him to go ahead with his decision. In a display of arrogance, the boys allegedly went ahead to threaten the minister with text messages to “Kill him” if he dared to ensure their arrest.

It is therefore believed that the swoop was in response to the threat on the minister who is also the chairman of the REGSEC. Reaction Meanwhile, some residents in the metropolis have hailed the operations of the security to clamp down on the activities of the “Sakawa boys” whose deeds, the people said, if not brought under control, could fester to pose a threat to the security of the area.

We Have Feelings too – Allow Us To Do It – Prisoners In Ghana Demand

Some inmates in Ghana’s prisons are appealing to government to introduce a policy that allows them to have sex while they are still incarcerated.

The inmates – males and females – told ghanacrusader.com that they must be allowed to enjoy their conjugal rights within the grim walls of Ghana’s correction facilities.

“I have been in this secluded place for long, I always feel refreshed to some extent whenever there is a chance to see females,” one male inmate said.

“As a normal human being, I occasionally feel the urge to have sex, especially when I see a man visiting some of my colleagues,” a female inmate stated.

They admitted that homosexuality and lesbianism are rife in the prisons because of the lack of opportunities to have sex with their legitimate partners.

Opinions on whether prisoners must be allowed to enjoy their conjugal rights are divided.

One school of thought believes “having sex is a right that should not be denied to those in prison.”

But others with contrary views argue that “conjugal right in prison is untenable, explaining that it would lead to more problems for both prison authorities and society.”

Australia (Queensland), Brazil, Denmark, Canada, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Spain allow conjugal visit where inmates spend several hours or days with their legal spouses during which parties can have sex.

The visits usually take place in designated rooms or a structure provided for that purpose, such as a trailer or a small cabin.

However, in the United States and United Kingdom, inmates have no constitutional rights to conjugal visits during custodial sentences.

The rationale for conjugal visits in jurisdictions where they are permitted is to preserve family bonds and facilitate re-integration into society when inmates complete their sentences.

UK Policemen Who Invaded Shatta Wale’s Room Were His Friends?

Shatta Wale’s manager, Bulldog has come out to announce why they were visited in their hotel room by UK police. Turns out, a member of the police unit who decided to see Shatta Wale, had heard of him from a visit to Ghana. He went with his fellow officers to see a performer who’s made his name in and outside of Ghana. Check out this update Bulldog posted to clear the air on the issue.

“A lot of inboxes… Sorry i could not get back to you earlier on the UK Police incident… There were about eight police officers at our hotel, Hilton London Wembley on Friday, 27th March. Apparently they had heard a lot about Shatta Wale and wanted to meet him. They were at Wembley stadium for an assignment and were on lunch break at the hotel’s restaurant and heard the King was lodging there… We were astonished and humbled at their visit. Apparently one of them was in Ghana last July and took Shatta’s songs back home and since then they have been following him religiously. We are thankful to Jah and the fans across the world for bringing us this far. ‪#‎SMBH‬‪#‎sikanhyira‬ ‪#‎magicalyear‬ ‪#‎worldtour‬ ‪#‎London‬“

Ghana Sex bomb, Nadia Buari reveals her twins father: they are not Jim Iykes babies.

Nadia Buari enjoys the spotlight, thanks to her flawless face; she made news headlines as one of Ghana’s best. She is also a very good actress, lately; she has been in the news for the wrong reasons. I would not refer Nadia as a washed up actress, but the pretty woman from Ghana quietly courts unnecessary controversies. Cooked, manufactured and packaged by her very unprofessional bunch of publicists, in her efforts to remain in the news.

When she called it quits with Jim Iyke last year, she wanted the fact that her mum never liked James to remain a big secret. Nadia and her manager did everything to kill the news. When I got the hint that the relationship hit the rocks, I was begged not to write about it. I wrote about it because I hate lies. These twosome wanted to fool writers with fake stories about a relationship that never was. Jim Iyke and Nadia Buari were out to use a phantom relationship to remain in the news circle.

I won’t call Nadia Buari, a drama queen, however; the recent saga surrounding the birth of her twins brought to the front burner yet again, news on Buari. At first, rumor mongers said, her twins dad was Ghanian President and now, we are seeing a new picture of a guy who tattooed her name on his neck. She also wrote on her Twitter handle, suggesting the President may be her twins father.

According to a press release by her publicist (who pretends not to write on her behalf), made available to NigerianFM today, Nadia as usual wants to keep writers guessing, in order, to remain in the news circle.

If Nadia chooses to hide the man, that is her prerogative, I thought for the sake of these new-born babies, Nadia should either stay off the limelight or stop the unnecessary drama. We Africans have a culture, newborn babies are a bundle of joy, dragging these twins into a public drama is not the right way to go. Overall, I knew why Nadia Buari refused to acknowledge publicly, that she broke up with Jim Iyke over a year ago. She enjoyed the attention her relationship with James got from the Nigerian press. The twins drama is another ploy to remain in the news. Period.
