On Phone:

Ginola:

Good evening boss.

The Boss:

Hello Ginola, how did your meeting go with that lady?

Ginola:

Boss it went very well and smooth, I just dropped that greedy bitch at her boyfriend’s place and I mean the very place where we will get those two fools who have been a pain in the neck.

The Boss:

Very good my boy, this is the best news I have heard in recent times. After we are done with them, I will reward you handsomely for the good work you have done and I must say I’m proud of you. Hurry up and get home so we map up out our strategy to show those fools the way to hell if only that place is not filled up.

Meanwhile Trouble and his other colleagues had been stopped by a police patrol team that had mounted a snap check.

Trouble:

Guys stay calm and don’t do anything funny that will make this stupid people to suspect us of anything. (rolls his window glass down)

Chief Inspector:

Good evening youngman, kindly put your inside light on.

Trouble:

(puts the inside light on)No problem officer, please how is your evening going?

Chief Inspector:

Ah, what can I say? These criminals in the country have decided not to let us rest or possibly spend our evenings with our wives so we are serving the country with integrity. If I may ask where are you guys dressed in black suits and white shirts going at this time of the night?

Trouble:

Oh officer, we are from a church programme. Our church is having a very powerful revival inside the Legon university campus. We are junior pastors and this is the dress code for us.

Chief Inspector:

Oh that is good. I love it when I see young people serving God diligently. All the same, can I see the trunk of your car?

Trouble:

(sees Mafia putting his hand in his jacket and immediately he signals him with his eye to stay calm) Oh officer, just yesterday morning I had a problem with my trunk lock so opening it has become a problem and because of the revival I have not got time to go and fix it at the service centre.

Chief Inspector:

Well since you are men of God, I won’t bother you much but please try and fix it.

Trouble:

I will do that tomorrow sir.

Chief Inspector:

That is okay, you can go and don’t forget to say a prayer for we the police officers.

Trouble:

Certainly sir, you know without you gallant men, we can’t sleep at night with our eyes closed.

Chief Inspector:

(stops the car as it moves forward a bit) Mmmm man of God, your colleague sitting next to you has not strapped his seatbelt.

Mafia:

Oh thank you officer, I forgot to strap the seatbelt on again when I took my phone out of my suit when my wife called to check if was back at the hotel we are lodging. Thank you once again and may the good Lord protect you officers as you continue to protect us.

Constable:

(sees blood drops as the car moved forward and raises an alarm) Chief, please what did those in the car say they have in the trunk of the car? There is blood drop where the car was first parked.

Chief Inspector:

Whaaat! Now everyone should come out of the car and no one should try anything funny.

Mafia unstrap the seatbelt and brings out his side arm to fire at the chief inspector but misses his target. An army officer who was with the patrol team starts to shoot back with his assault automatic rifle. Unfortunately all the men in the car were gunned down with the exception of Trouble who surrendered earlier on to avoid being shot, he was handcuffed and pushed into the patrol team car for further interrogation and investigations to commence.

Mike’s phone kept ringing over and over but he adamantly refused to answer the call but after a while Henrietta pleaded with him to answer the call.

Henrietta Barnor:

Honey, please answer the phone for the noise is distracting my attention and mood here. Secondly, you dont know the reason why the caller is calling continuously and I’m even tired. You have really been on fire for the past 25minutes and it doesn’t look like you are drawing the curtains down any time soon.

Michael Ansah:

Which man in his right senses will get tired servicing this American tundra body? See erh, if l’m given just two minutes of your time, I will do something memorable to you that will take eternity to forget. Excuse me my dear, Quincy is calling me.

Henrietta Barnor:

Okay my regards to him (enters the bathroom to freshen up after that great encounter with Mike).

Quincy:

(on phone) Yoo guy, where the hell have you been? I have been calling your line since but you have not been answering my calls.

Michael Ansah:

Charlie forgive me but you called at the wrong time. Your call has prevented me from ejaculation this evening.

Quincy:

See mumu, I have been worried sick over here thinking you were in any kind of trouble or discomfort not knowing you were rather enjoying the pleasure of this earth. Now tell me the name of the lady whom you have decided to paralyze this evening.

Michael Ansah:

Massa! Massa!! Massa!!! I dey take God beg you, please dey your track inside quitely.

Quincy:

Judging from your statement, I don’t think you will be coming home tonight?

Michael Ansah:

You are very right with your statement. I will see you tomorrow God willing and please in the name of God, don’t call me again tonight because I have got some important minerals to drill throughout the night.

Quincy:

Ashawo!!! You don’t take after me and see if you will get a chance in heaven when the judgement day comes.

Michael Ansah:

Apuuuu, if I don’t know the northern part of Ghana, then I will take a trip to Zongo to have a fair idea of how the north is. See erh, I am busy here so delete yourself from my line and find something useful to do with your life. (cuts the call)

Quincy:

(laughs and speaks to himself) What a crazy guy I have as a friend, but hey I’m proud of the man he is turning out to be. He must bang all the ladies who comes his way after all life is too short and you only live once. (hears a knock on the door and goes to check)

Maabena Boaduwaa:

(with a straight face) You called me to come over, is anything the problem?

Quincy:

Ah, are you going to stand there and be asking questions? When did it become a crime for me to call my empress so we spend the night together?

Maabena Boaduwaa:

Spend the night together? What happens to Mike and where will he sleep this evening knowing you are staying in a single room apartment?

Quincy:

(plays smart and tells a lie) You see I told you Mike will move out soon, he is at the verge of doing that and tonight he is spending the night at his new place and putting things together over there.

Maabena Boaduwaa:

(hearing that news, pushes Quincy aside, throws his hand bag and the brown envelope which contained the money in one of the sofa’s and starts to undress herself) Follow me to the bathroom Mr man, tonight I will blow your mind with a high voltage that by the time I’m through with you, you will forget your name and when you were born.

Quincy:

(starts to also undress) I love it when you talk silly and saucy, equally that pump you have in between your legs, tonight I will also unscrew it and refix it for you. You know how I do my thing when you try to be stubborn.

Maabena Boaduwaa:

The end will justify who is the king of the bedmatics in this room. It’s going to be a long night and tomorrow is also my off day, hope you have food in this house.

Quincy:

No need to worry because you have been covered by insurance, I did some grocery shopping this evening when coming home.

Maabena Boaduwaa:

What a reunion it is going to be? Play me “KUPE by the late dancehall diva EBONY REIGNS” because tonight you will feel the electricity in me.

Back at Dufie’s House:

Julia:

(screams) Oh leave me alone you wicked man, haven’t I delivered your consignment to you? What do you want from me again?

Maame Dufie:

(rushes to Julia’s room holding a baseball stick in her hand and puts the light on to help her sister who was screaming for help) Hey! Leave my sister before I crush your head with this baseball stick! (realises there is no one in the room apart from her sister)

Julia:

(wakes up upon the light reflection in the room) Hey! what are you doing in my room with a baseball stick in your hand?

Maame Dufie:

You were screaming for help so I thought someone was attacking you. Now can you open up to me because you have been acting weird lately?

Julia:

Hey I am very okay, it’s just that sometimes the death of my mom gets to me and it brings memories to me. You know I feel bad that I couldn’t give her a grandchild as her only child before she died.

Maame Dufie:

That I understand but look at me and tell me if I look like a kindergarten student. When on this earth did giving birth become your greatest priority? See, I’m the only family you have now whether you like it or not. I know you when you are hiding something so you better speak up. Which consignment were you talking about delivering in your sleep talking?

Julia:

(gives a surprise face) Did I say such a thing?

Maame Dufie:

No, my late aunty said that. A problem shared is a problem half solved. If you don’t want to confide in the only family member you have then carry your cross alone. When you feel like opening up to me, you know where to find me. (walks out of the room leaving Julia to think)

Julia:

(talks to herself) Dufie is not like I’m self centered but I’m only taking you out from harm’s way. You are the only family I have and I can’t risk gambling with your life. The moment I let you in on this secret your life will be in danger. The better you don’t know, the greater you chances of living long. As you said, it’s my cross so I will carry it alone.

Maame Dufie:

Please yourself then but I won’t be held accountable to anything negative that happens to you. Sleep well and please in the name of God, don’t repeat your sleep talking again because the things you say scare me. (walks out of the room)

Julia:

(talking to herself) Or should I inform Dufie on the thing bothering my mind? No!!! Women can’t be trusted with such classified information. What if she goes around to blackmail me or snitch on me? Women can be jealous for some stupid reasons and do the unthinkable. Whatever the matter is, I will keep things to myself and die alone if the need be. Afterall, my mother who gave birth to me is even dead.

Back at the New Apartment:

On Phone:

Akua Yankey:

Kwaku Mike so why are you not answering my calls all this while?

Michael Ansah:

I’m very sorry mum. I didn’t know you were the caller.

Akua Yankey:

Are you listening to yourself? Do you have to know the caller before you answer the phone? Damn!!! This ain’t cool at all son.

Michael Ansah:

Hehehe, mum are you now slanging on me? Hey my mum has got her swag on. What’s up mum?

Akua Yankey:

I’m coming down on Saturday with your sister and I don’t want your father to know about it, we want to surprise him and any other person who is aware that we are out of the country so I want you to meet us at the airport so we go to the village together.

Michael Ansah:

Oh that is cool but how is my sister doing?

Akua Yankey:

She is awesomely well and better than ever. In fact our coming here has yielded positive results and I’m so happy we travelled to this place. I have a lot of surprises for you my son.

Michael Ansah:

Talking about surprises, I have a very big surprise for you and I will come to the airport with that surprise.

Akua Yankey:

Mmmm my son I’m suspecting you ooo, which lady are you coming to meet us with?

Michael Ansah:

Eeeeiiii mom, how did you get to know I was coming to the airport with a lady?

Akua Yankey:

Have you forgotten I was once like you? I hope she has good character and from a decent family?

Michael Ansah:

Mom, she is one in a million. I haven’t met her kind before and she is from a very well respected family. Mom you will fall in love with her the moment you set your eyes on her. I will leave you to pass your judgement when you see her personally.

Akua Yankey:

Hmmmm, my son is truly in love listening to how you are choosing your words. I’m proud of the man you are turning into. I know you have eyes for good things and that you won’t disappoint me. The flight will touch down by 9am Ghana time so please be there on time and if possible, go and rent a car that will convey us to the village.

Michael Ansah:

Don’t worry about that mom, I will do as you have said and I can’t wait to see you and my pretty sister at the Terminal 3 Arrival Hall.

Akua Yankey:

Okay. my son, I have to go now because I have a train to catch. There are some last-minute shopping I must do and don’t forget to come over with my prospective daughter-in-law to meet us at the airport. Bye for now. (call ends)

Next Morning

The Boss Mansion:

Ginola:

Good morning boss. Please how was your night?

The Boss:

Good morning my boy. I had one of the greatest night’s ever. The undercover job you did last night made my day, week and possibly my month. As I said to you earlier on, I will sort you out handsomely very soon. Have you seen my son this morning?

Ginola:

Boss, please he left the house early this morning for jogging. He told me he didn’t want to disturb you as you were still sleeping when he was leaving the house. He also said he will be back before breakfast is served.

The Boss:

Oh that is okay and what about Trouble and the guys I sent last night, they never brought any feedback to me?

Ginola:

Boss, please I haven’t set my eyes on him and the other guys. When I came back from meeting with that lady, none of them was in their rooms, I was assuming they have been given a day or some days off.

The Boss:

I can’t release almost all my security details in a night whiles we have an important mission to undertake any time soon.

Ginola:

Ah, then where could they be? This is unusual of Trouble to go out and not return. What could be the reason for him and the other guys not coming back here?

The Boss:

I’m much more perplexed than you and those fools didn’t find it convenient to call me and give me feedback on the assignment I gave them.

Stubborn:

(walks in with the boss phone in his hand) Boss please your phone has been ringing for some time now so I decided to bring it to you since you were far from it.

The Boss:

(on phone) Yeeeeeessssssss, may I know who is the line?

Caller:

Boss please it’s me Inspector Attipoe, there is trouble on the mountain ooo. I had to sneak out of the office to call you and even use a private line.

The Boss:

Attipoe can you talk in plain language, what fire are you talking about coming from the mountain?

Caller:

Boss, yesternite the patrol teams brought in a guy and some dead bodies when they were doing some random operation. They saw blood from the trunk of the car they were driving and when they tried confronting them, they starting firing at my men injuring two of them and in return my men also released fire on them resulting in the death of your men with the exception of one guy who is now in the interrogation room.

The Boss:

Whaaaaat? What the heck? So what are we going to do now?

Caller:

Boss did you say we? This is a matter you have to act fast because I heard the Regional Commander has shown interest in the case and he is on his way to this place.

The Boss:

Now you listen and listen good youngman, we are in this together and if I go down, you go down with me as my informant. I can’t be paying you an outrageous amount of money and go down alone.

Caller:

Boss you can’t do this to me because I have kept my side of the bargain and have provided every requisite information that pops up so why do you want to drag me into the mud with you?

The Boss:

If you know what is good for you, make sure you clean the mess surrounding this case and if possible find ways and means to eliminate that fool before he spews out any nonsense whiles he remains in your custody.

Caller:

Boss you know what you ask of me cannot be granted. Your boy is under strict surveillance security detail which I don’t even have access to the place or him. Boss I can’t promise something that I can’t grant or do. Please I will entreat you to use your connections to get your boy out from this place. I will do my best to get the media faraway from this case so please do your best and let me also do the rest. Please the Regional Commander is in so let me rush to the charge office to welcome him.

The Boss:

Now you listen and listen good, I don’t care how you do it Attipoe, remember if I go down we go down together so if you know what is best for you, start finding ways and means to get that idiot eliminated before he says anything that will sink our boat. (cuts the call)

Ginola:

Boss is everything alright?

The Boss:

Trouble and the other guys met a police patrol team last night when I sent them to dispose the corpse of that foolish sheikh and his guards. An exchange of bullets took place resulting in the death of all your colleagues except one whom I dont know who exactly the person is.

Also two police officers got injured and the Regional Commander has taken a personal interest in the case. If we don’t eliminate that fool now before he spills the beans we will be in very hot soup,. Now call Karl Simpson to come over right now. We need to join heads and find a solution to this looming danger. The recent stir-up in the police administration has affected me badly because all the corrupt officers I had in the police administration have been reshuffled and taken to a place they can’t assist again. Oh what a pity!!!

Karl Simpson:

Albert what is it that I’m hearing? Ginola called me to break the news to me but why did you kill the sheikh and his bodyguards?

The Boss:

Karl, that idiot came here threatening me and raising his voice at me in front of my boys. Out of anger I shot him and ordered for his guards to be eliminated so that I could cover my trace but those idiots bumped into a police patrol team and exchanged bullets with them. Karl these fools wouldn’t send me to my early grave ooo. But I blame that bitch who doublecrossed me. I swear with every misery I have been through I will make her go through that same ordeal.

Karl Simpson:

Well, we need to strategize on an underground mission where we will capture our rightful possession. Now that you are short of men, I will bring my boys on-board for this mission to go on successfully. About your boy in police custody, I have dispatched a snipper to get rid of him because l’m reliably informed that he is being transferred to the CID Headquarters for further interrogation as I’m talking to you right now. Don’t stress yourself because everything is under control.

The Boss:

(phone rings) Hello what is the situation right now?

Caller:

Boss I don’t know how to start my story but all I can say is that, your boy who was in our custody is no more a living soul. The Regional Commander upon arrival ordered for your boy to be transferred to the CID Headquarters and on the way going, an assassin or snipper shot him dead whiles we were in the car going. Thankfully he had not uttered a word, he kept saying he wanted to see his lawyer first.

The Boss:

(releases a big breath) Make sure you clean every loophole that will lead to my doorstep and for that car that they were riding in, set it on fire with a powerful explosive this evening. I will come and lodge a missing car complain tomorrow morning. Keep me updated with any new development. (ends call)

Karl Simpson:

I can see a massive change on your face my brother. Has the table changed into our favour?

The Boss:

Oh yes bro, your assassin has done a fantastic job. He has cleared the path for us to move easily and talking to you right now, I’m the happiest man on planet earth.

Karl Simpson:

Well I’m glad your worry and misery is now behind you. Right now, we need to focus on how to retrieve the diamonds from Julia or wherever it is now. I have designed a master plan that we will use in attacking Julia without any trace.

The Boss:

I trust your tactics bro. I know what you are capable of doing. I have also gotten information of that fool who delivered faeces to me and that idiot who took coverage and shots of us the night that I eliminated that bastard who thought he was faster than me.

Karl Simpson:

Oh wow, what an icing on the cake! Are they far from here?

The Boss:

Youngman, answer that question.

Ginola:

Boss, please they are not far from us and the sweet thing is that they are living under the same roof.

Karl Simpson:

Mmmmm, what a small world? Indeed, what goes around surely comes around. We will equally work on them and put them on the stage they deserve. Ginola I will get you some boys to go and pay them a surprise visit very soon.

Funeral Day:

Julia:

Mickey thanks very much for everything, I don’t know how to thank you enough.

Michael Ansah:

My dear, you owe me nothing. What I did was a way to show my gratitude to you for all the good things you have done for me.

Julia:

Ah don’t say that, what you and Quincy did earlier on today can’t be compared to anything on earth but hey have you eaten anything yet?

Maame Dufie:

Ah there you are Mike, your food has been served and where is Quincy?

Quincy:

I’m here, who is asking of me?

Maame Dufie:

I’m the one asking of you. Won’t you also come and eat? You have been taking pictures and going up and down since the wake last night and now that aunty has been buried too you are still stressing yourself.

Julia:

Dufie, please where is my boss and his entourage?

Maame Dufie:

They are in the tent room been attended to by the catering service. Mike I ordered them to get your food microwaved ánd by now I know it will be ready.

Michael Ansah:

(remembering who Julia’s boss is) Oh I’m very much okay as at now. We don’t usually eat when we are working because laziness creeps in when we fill the stomach. Quincy and I will eat when all your special guests take leave from this place.

Ginola:

(walks in to call Julia and sees Mike) Mmmm Julia, the boss wants to see you now. I think he wants us to seek permission so we leave.

Julia:

Please tell him I will be with him soon. Dufie please come for this envelope and my phone as I see my boss and his entourage off.

Ginola:

(gives Mike a vicious look before talking) I will convey your message to him and please don’t keep us waiting for long. (walks away as he rushes to give the information he gathered when he was sent to call Julia)

Maame Dufie:

Mike what have you done to that guy? The way he was looking at you was not pleasing at all.

Julia:

Oh so you also saw it Dufie. I thought I was the only one who saw the stern look that guy was giving to him. Now tell me what exactly happened the day you delivered the package to my boss. Whenever i decide to ask you about what transpired that day, it escapes me. How did my boss receive you that day?

Michael Ansah:

(as he is about to narrate his story his phone rang) Hey darling. Ah, you are already at the entrance? Wait for me at that place, I will join you soon. (cuts call)

Maame Dufie:

I guess this conversation will have to take place later.

Julia:

You have a very big point, that man over there doesn’t like to be kept waiting anytime he wants something. (walks out to see the boss and his men)

Meanwhile back in the village Opana is getting ready to execute his diabolic plans the dawn ahead of him so he positioned everything he will need for the evil mission well and set an alarm on his phone to wake him up on time.

Back at the Funeral Home:

Michael Ansah:

Hey baby, I wasn’t expecting you here as you told me you were not feeling too well.

Henrietta Barnor:

Yes, that is very true but I had a tip off call from one of my informants that one of my topmost criminal on my radar is in the neighbourhood and since I knew my boo is around, I came over to surprise him.

Michael Ansah:

What a sweet loving lady that I have as my woman. Let’s go inside so I introduce you to my friend and her cousin. We will use the backdoor since there are a lot of people around.

Julia:

Thank you very much boss and Mr Simpson for your support and presence. Without your help and encouragement, I don’t know how I would’ve handled things.

Karl Simpson:

C’mon girl, we are one big family and this is the time to show to you that you are never alone in this world.

The Boss:

My dear, Karl has said it all. You deserve every little thing that we have done for you and I want you to bring every debt you incure here to me next week. We have other things to do so we will take leave now and please don’t forget to do as I instructed you to do.

Julia:

Okay sir, I will do as you have requested. Please let me walk you to your car.

The Boss:

That won’t be necessary my dear, there are a lot of your guest who need your attention so please go and see them. We know our way out so don’t worry your pretty head.

Albert:

Please inform Maame Dufie that I will come pick her out tonight around 8pm for a movie at the mall so she should get ready.

Julia:

I will tell her exactly as you have said. Thanks for coming.

The Boss:

(at the car park) Ginola, my son has set the ball rolling, tonight get to work and leave no stone unturned. This mission must be compared to the movement of the snake on a cemented floor. There must be no traces or loop holes after everything is done. Do I make myself clear?

Ginola:

It’s very loud and crystal clear, boss.

The Boss:

Be there and be blowing big English to my hearing and go and make unpardonable mistakes.I will deny you like how Peter denied Jesus when the Romans captured him.

Karl Simpson:

Hey I never knew you know stories in the bible ooo. All the same, I will deploy my men to join forces with your men so we sanitize the airwaves but after this mission we must go on hibernation for a very long time.

The Boss:

Bro, I don’t need a soathsayer or mallam to tell me this. I thought about this long time ago and talking about stories in the bible, even mallams and fetish priest quote from the bible. If you care to know, I was baptised in the Presbyterian church but because a pastor’s son once snatched my girlfriend from me when I was poor, I decided to stop going to church. Herh, I nearly went for all my monetary contribution in the church. Honestly, poverty is a disease that one shouldn’t even wish for his or her enemy. Guys let’s go.

Henrietta Barnor:

(watching from above) Eagle 1, target on the move in a black tinted glass V8 with the registration number Alpha Whiskey 419 – 18 and the other V8 cars are Charlie Rainbow 9999 – 16 and Bravo Alpha 442 – 17. They are heading towards Atomic roundabout, keep a very close eye on him and make sure you don’t lose him this time around. My Intel tells me, he is up to something mischievous but this time around he can’t get away with it. Send me updates on any new development that takes place. Over and out Delta 1.

Michael Ansah:

Hey there you are, I was looking for you after I went to get a bottle of water for you. Who were you talking to?

Henrietta Barnor:

Oh, that was one of my colleagues back at work.

Michael Ansah:

Okay, come with me my dear. I need to introduce you to some friends. (drags Herty to the place his friends were)

Maame Dufie:

Ah, I have been looking for you all over the place. Your food is getting cold and I won’t bother microwaving it for you again.

Julia:

Tell him for me, they want to be pampered even as we are mourning.

Quincy:

We will descend on the meal very soon.

Michael Ansah:

No need to be bothered my dear. I have someone special to introduce to everyone here. Ladies I present to you the woman of my life, my bone of bone and flesh of flesh, my heartbeat, my sweetheart and my future wife, Henrietta.

Henrietta Barnor:

Hello ladies, it’s nice meeting you and sorry for your loss.

Julia:

(drops the drink in her hand and screams) Mickey!!! Hmmmm, no comments.

Maame Dufie:

I hope my ears are not deceiving me? Julia can you interpretate things to me over here. You told me Mike was your…..

Quincy:

(cuts in quickly as he sees pressure mounting up) Ladies, please where is the food you reserved for Mike and I? I’m so starving that I can swallow a whole whale and still not be satisfied.

Julia:

Whatever! (walks out from the room)
