Women On The Move (Media Advocacy)
Organized a summit on the theme:
“WOMAN OF THE ZENITHS”
This event sought to bridge the gap between female achievers in Ghana and the young girls who are ready with passion without direction to draw inspiration to pursue their life mission geared toward socio-economic development. The purpose of this event was to provide the networking platform for women achievers to compare notes of their success equation to spur growth and expansion in their various endeavours.
Woman of the Zenith was a SUMMIT & MAGAZINE LAUNCH which was under the chairmanship of Nana Nyarko Atta VII (Duantuahene of Kwamankese Traditional Area) with the support of Nana Ama Amissah III(Paramount Queen Mother of Mankessim Traditional Area and the President of the Central Regional Queen Mothers Association). The CEO for Innovative Microfinance, Shiela Azuntaba (Miss Ghana 1996) was the Special Guest who Launched the Boundless III Magazine with the support of Rev. Emmanuel Kwawukumey, Head and founder of International Prayer Point Ministries, Baatsona, Spintex, Accra.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Hon. Rashid Pelpuo (MP, WA Central). Ms Ama Lawson, the CEO of Women On The Move explained that the Magazine which was launched, was pub- to motivate and educate women on how to gain skills and ideas to venture into entrepreneurship. The 43-page magazine touches on the empowerment of women, and showcases projects undertook by WOM over the period. The magazine raises issues on women and political characteristics that define 21st century leaders, among others. Sheila Azuntaba, Miss Ghana 1996, who launched the magazine, advised women to move from their comfort zone, and play their role in nation building “Get out, strive out and make things for yourself in order to build the nation,” Ms Azuntaba said, She stressed the need for women to generate positive ideas to move their businesses.
