MIRACLE’S POV CONTINUES
I felt great pain surge through me as I saw Idris suffering for something he didn’t know about. I never knew my dad would involved the police and just as I promised earlier, I would set him free.
I got close to Stephanie’s apartment and parked my car a few distance from the gate of her house. I searched through my handbag and brought out the note Idris gave me earlier.
It reads
“DEAR STEPHANIE,
MY LOVE, WHY ARE YOU ANGRY AT ME? DO YOU REALLY THINK I AM CHEATING ON YOU? I REALLY LOVE YOU AND I CAN SWEAR WITH MY LIFE THAT I AM NOT CHEATING YOU. PLEASE ENSURE YOU VISIT ME BEFORE THE END OF TODAY. WE REALLY HAVE ALOT TO DISCUSS.
LOVE YOU
IDRIS”
I smiled and kept the note back inside my bag as I open the door of my car and walked to stephanie’s house. I didn’t want to park my car inside her apartment because I will not stay up to five minutes there.
I walked inside her beautiful apartment and saw my sister with a cup of coffee. She has grown so lean since she broke up with Idris. She doesn’t even eat anything at all, just tea and coffee.
Me: hi sis.
Stephanie: *managed to smile* Hi sis. How was your day?
Me: cool. I know that you are angry with Idris but is that enough reason you should send him to cell?
Stephanie: what!!!!!!
Me: you heard me right, he is in cell now.
Stephanie: d–n!!
She said, took her car keys and stormed out of the house. I followed her and we drove out of her house to our family house.
Stephanie briskly walked inside our house. She saw James sitting on a couch and she simply ignored him. She always avoided him and speaks to him once in a while.
Stephanie: Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!
She screamed as if she wanted to bring down the house. My dad came out of his room with a scared look on his face.
Stephanie: How could you?
Chief Sunday: what?

Stephanie: why did you send the police after Idris? Dad, this is my life and I should be the one to run it, why did you have to send the police after him!!!
She shouted at my dad who just stood looking at her in silence.
James: common steph you……
Stephanie: shut the f–k up James, I am talking to my dad and not you. Dad, I want you to order his release right now?
My dad just shrugged and made a few phone calls and that was it, Idris would be set free anytime from now.
Stephanie walked out of the house and I followed her from behind sensing danger.
Me: where are you going to stephanie?
Stephanie: to visit Idris.
Me: no you shouldn’t.
Stephanie: why?
Me: because he doesn’t want to see you.
Stephanie: how are you sure about these?
Me: because he gave me this to give to you when I visited him.
I said, gave her the note and walked away.
Stephanie opened the note and read
“DEAR STEPHANIE,
I CAN SEE THAT YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR TRUE COLOUR TO ME. TRUTH IS, I DON’T LOVE YOU JUST LIKE THE WAY YOU DON’T LOVE ME TOO, SO WE SHOULD STOP DECEIVING OURSELVES. MARRY AND COURT JAMES FOR ALL I CARE, I ALREADY HAVE SOMEBODY THAT I TRULY LOVE MORE THAN YOU. FROM NOW ON, YOU ARE NOT A PART OF MY LIFE AGAIN. JUST LEAVE ME LET ME SETTLE DOWN WITH THE GIRL I TRULY LOVE.
