Contrary to earlier reports, the fake twitter account of popular Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe has come out to apologize for lying about Muna’s death and also confirmed that he is dead.
Many media outlets had reported that the actor had passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, January 18, 2015 in a hospital in Festac, Lagos. However, Obiekwe via a tweet he posted on his official Twitter handle, @MunaObiekwe, denied the report, Below is how the light in complexion actor announced that he is still alive:

However, there has been some confirmation of his death in Nigeria. According to reports, he died after a battle with kidney failure. He was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed at his home. Muna has been quietly battling this kidney disease but kept it hush hush from friends and colleagues.

A colleague said for over two weeks before he died, he didn’t go for his dialysis. Muna needed money for his health problems but instead of going public to raise money, he told friends he was planning a stage play to raise money but died before he could do it.

Meanwhile Nollywood actress Ify Okeke is blaming colleagues in the industry for neglecting their colleague, Muna Obiekwe, leading to his death.
Reacting to the untimely death of the actor, Ify Okeke vented her anger at her colleagues for neglecting him when he was sick.
According to her although the actor wanted to keep his issues private, the other actors should have come to his aid.
